In order to come up with the very specific design ideas, we create most designs with the assistance of state-of-the-art AI interior design software.

We wanted to focus on a particular strain of bathroom design that doesn’t often get a lot of attention. Dark flooring can create a rich contrast or surprising impression for a well appointed bathroom. When standard white tiling goes out the window and the inverse color is chosen, a new visual experiences opens up.

With dark flooring, the rest of the bathroom has the opportunity to shine in contrast, with often bright and detailed wall textures, unique cabinetry and fixtures, and occasionally a whole room theme centered on the flooring hue.

The dark toned floors you’ll see below appear courtesy of a range of materials, flaunting a variety of styles and textures. Wood, marble, tile, and more each convey the surprising appeal that a darker floor can bring to a bathroom.

With our only firm criteria being dark flooring in a bathroom, we ended up with a generous variety of immaculate spaces. These bathrooms run the gamut of luxury, from traditionally ornate to the utmost in ultra-modern convenience.

Bathrooms are often a conservative place within the home, but many of the examples we’ve gathered prove that you can have function and personality in equal measure.
