Welcome to another free deck plan/blueprint. This one features a wooden deck design with built-in benches for seating and storage. The original source of this deck is found at Zillow DigsTM.
The benefits of adding built-in benches with a back to any deck are clear. You gain a great deal of seating plus storage – both of which are valuable for any deck design.
The bench backs also serve as a protective fence around the deck to prevent inadvertently sliding a chair leg over the edge or little kids running off the deck edge.
The downside is the benches do take up some space so if you build a deck with built-ins of any sort, you want to make it fairly large so you have plenty of room for your other deck purposes.
