From modernist houses to coastal retreats, the choice for going all-white on house exteriors have given homeowners the bright makeover they needed for their homes.
White will always be a top choice for house colors — both interior and exterior — for many obvious reasons and for many residential architectural styles. It’s pristine, crisp, clean, calming, classy, and versatile.
Houses with a white exterior will never go out of style and don’t run the risk of fading over years of sun exposure. White works beautifully with any other colors, making them pop out even more. If you want your house to look bigger, a coat of white paint on your house exterior will do the visual trick.

Okay, this is a bit ridiculous because most people in the world can’t afford a famous chateau, but I included it because I love this chateau.
This is Chateau de Chenonceau is a castle near the small village of Chenonceaux on the River Cher. This castle was built between 1515 and 1521 by Thomas Bohier, Chamberlain for King Charles VIII of France. Today, the Chateau of Chenonceau is second only to Versailles as the most visited chateau in France.
