It may seem boring, but I have always loved beige colors, especially for walls in the family room. It may be surprising to you to learn that there are so many different shades of beige. It often picks up the accent colors in the room.

You have to be careful when you pick a beige color because it may not look on your walls the same way it does on the paint swatch. I am going to highlight 25 of the best beige colors for you to give you many options for your family room.

Balanced Beige is a great neutral color but it is not far away from gray. It has a slight gray cast to it, but it holds on to the warmth that you come to expect from beige. It is a light and warm color while giving your family room a fresh look. It might be a little darker on your wall than you expect it to look.
Accessible Beige SW 7036

Accessible Beige is perfectly named, because it is a great color that everyone will appreciate. This beige has some subtle undertones of gray, but they remain soft and not overpowering. This is a great color to pair with wood tones in your family room. It works well on a north or south facing room and it does not weigh down the room.
This is a lighter color. At 55, Accessible Beige has a light reflectance value (LRV) that is a little higher than middle of the road, which means it will be a little lighter on your walls.
Nomadic Desert SW 6107

Nomadic Desert is on the lighter to medium shade of beige. This is a warmer color and the undertone is a bit more orange, than yellow. You should not be overly concerned, though, because it is not a drastic undertone. You should keep in mind that this may be a bit darker than what you traditionally think of when you think beige.
This may be a good color for a room that is well lit, or has a lot of natural light, so it does not feel too heavy. This paint has a LRV of 50, so it does not add or take in any light from the room.
Barcelona Beige SW 7530

Barcelona Beige is a soft beige that is a little warm, but not completely. It is a light to medium beige color, that does not have much gray to it. It is not as warm as you might expect a beige to be. It does not have too much of a yellow or orange undertone.
It does not have as much golden color to it, so it is best on a wall that faces the south to pick up some natural color. This color needs a good amount of lighting in the room because it has a lower LRV of 47.
Kilim Beige SW 6106

Kilim Beige is a warm beige, one of the warmest you can find. It does not have much orange or yellow in it. You may see just a small touch of pink. Since there is a bit of pink in the color, you want to make sure that it will work with the finishes in your family room.
This beige is closer to the brownish side of beige. It should not appear like the color of peach to you. This color has a LRV of 60, so it will allow in some light, but if you have a really dark room, this will not help to brighten it.

Shiitake is as interesting a color as its name makes you think. It brings a more modern look to your family room. This color does not have any undertones of pink. You may see a bit of a green undertone when you put it on your family room walls. This color changes quite a bit based upon the color of your flooring and accents. You may want to make sure this color works for you before committing to it.

Technically, Alabaster is considered an off white color, but it has undertones of beige and gray, that in many cases it looks more beige than white. It is a creamy color and not a bright white. The LRV for this color is 65.36, so it lets in a decent amount of light and can help to brighten your room. French beige has a LRV of 59, so it will bring some color into the room, but will not completely brighten a dark or small room. You want to have a fair amount of natural light or artificial light for this room.

It has a heavier feel to it than many of the other beige colors. This is a great color for any type of lighting.

Lenox Tan has a bit of an orange undertone to it and is one of the warmest beiges you can fine. You will definitely see the orange in the color, so you should avoid this one, if you do not want the orange. You may also see a bit of a green undertone, but it is not strong. This has a LRV of 43 which make it a rich color.
Shaker Beige HC-45

Shaker Beige has an undertone of orange, but with less yellow and red. The orange undertone stands out. It has a LRV of 54 so you want a room that has a large amount of natural or artifical light. If your family room does not have that, this color will look dark. This color does not have a lot of gray in it.
Monroe Bisque HC-26

Monroe Bisque is a warm beige color with a bit of yellow undertone. The yellow is slight but you will definitely notice it. Depending on what colors you use as accents, the yellow may stand out even more. This color is what you would typically expect when you think of a beige color. You do not want to pair this color with orange or pink. This color has a LRV of 59 so it feels a bit heavy.

Palm Desert Tan has a fair amount of depth to it. It is a blend of warm undertones that is more orange than yellow or red. This color gives your family room a more comfortable feel to it. The LRV is 43, which gives it some depth but it does not look brown.
