In my most humble opinion, you aren’t really living all the way if you don’t have a bed that makes you just wanna dive in and stay forever. Rest is such an important part of being alive, and when you think about it, you spend more time in your bedroom probably more than you do anything else.
If you’re looking to rework, refurbish, or redesign one of the most important rooms in your home, this is the gallery for you. Spanish-inspired designs are such a great direction to go if you’re looking to redesign your bedroom, especially because this particular design aesthetic incorporates tons of organic materials, subtle tones and colors, and an overall feeling of style and comfort.
So without further ado, we hope that you enjoy this gallery of Spanish-style primary bedrooms. Here you’ll find gorgeous pieces of furniture, striking architectural designs, and fun and flirty decorations that really just kicks it all into third gear.
1. The Soft & Light Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: We’re starting off this collection with a beautiful and bright primary bedroom thanks to enormous floor-to-ceiling windows that lead us towards a wonderful outdoor area. Stunning dark hardwood floors are shining and robust, wood panel ceilings are classic and warm, and off-yellow walls bright a subtle addition of color.
Furniture: I always love a bedroom that just has a bed in the middle. This simple double bed is topped on a plush, upholstered bed frame, ended with a couple matching stools with some nifty side tables on either side of the bed. Simple pieces are brought to life with decorations, that we’ll talk about in the next section!
Decor: I love the incorporation of nothing but soft textures in the room that is dedicated to relaxation. This huge, lightly hued rug in a soft fabric really helps soften up the hardwood floors, the shearling toppers for the stools bring an extra sense of softness, too. Simple little table lamps on the side tables probably create quite the lovely vibe once the sun goes down.

2. The It’s-All-in-the-Details Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: This is a room the uses contemporary features but more rustic decorative elements to create something that is really stylish. You can tell that hardwood floors are more contemporary when they have more of a brown/gray hue to them, and this pairs well with super crisp white walls. Generously sized windows allow for that sunlight to just stream in. Don’t you just want to take a nap?
Furniture: A standard queen bed is made cozy thanks to matching mid-century modern style side tables, a super rustic antique bench at the end of the bed that’s being used as an ottoman, and a super cute little wooden ladder being used to hold blankets. Rustic but modern, this room is very nicely tied together by these elements.
Decor: I really enjoy how all of the main features of the room are on the simpler side, allowing to use some bright colors and patterns in the decorations. The pillows are bright and playful, the woven basket is kitschy, and the funky table lamps bright a nice deep color pop.

3. The Cozy King Bed Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: This bedroom reminds me of something I’d find on Air Bnb and want to rent immediately. I can’t really tell if the floor is made from red brick tiles or cork, but either option would be a very cool choice. Off-white walls are an obvious choice, but are made extra interesting with the use of dark colored hardware to creating an interesting dynamism. It’s subtle, but the walls are also textured which is what brings us into the Spanish-inspiration.
Furniture: We all love a California king, but we love a California king even more when it’s set on a super blush, buttoned headboard to bring some luxury and drama. I really appreciate the addition of these wicker rattan accent chairs. Though they don’t look entirely comfortable, they are vibe creators, and they’re doing a great job.
Decor: With so much of the room being so plain, I love that a really bold rug has been used to bring some funk to the space. If anything, I would have liked one with even more pattern and color. The huge horse-head painting over the bed is just subtle enough, and really contributes to the vibe of the room as well.

4. The Cozy Cove Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: This room was clearly designed by the same person who designed the last one, but there are subtle differences between them. Firstly, super warm hardwood floors have been used which is a great way to incorporate warmth, especially when only dark and light hues have been used in the rest of the room.
Again, we see these gorgeous textured walls that have been painted a nice cream color, but what really makes this room feel special is the slanted ceiling that has exposed wooden beams and slats. It’s so rustic and so gorgeous.
Furniture: We see a similar headboard used in this bedroom but it in cream rather than black, and two very dark hardwood side tables. I think that the choice of rocking chair does really stick to the theme, but gives it more of a relaxed family vibe than the other room.
Decor: I think my personal favorite aspect of this room is the very smart use of lighting. The wall lamps shoot a warm light up the wall to really accentuate the texture of the wall, and the table lamps chosen create the under light that always succeed in bringing a sexy vibe to a room.
Again, this fantastic room has been designed by Studio Arte.
5. The Elegant Log Cabin Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: Ouff! There is something incredibly rich and luxurious about this primary bedroom. There is a richness to this space that comes from the very plush carpeted floor, the beautiful creamy wall paint, the dainty but glorious fireplace with a mirrored back, and the rustic charm of the exposed wooden beams on the vaulted ceiling. Truly spectacular from head to toe!
Furniture: While we only see two pieces of furniture in this room, they give us a really good indication of what the rest will look like. This bed is just so inviting with its dust ruffle (even those may be considered as being a bit outdated to some) but what makes it feel really luxurious is this interesting drape feature that can create a little fort if you pulled the curtain around the bed. So romantic and nostalgic, but executed in a luxurious way.
Decor: We have very simple decorations in this room but they are all super cohesive, from the brass candle holders that match the brass candle-style chandelier, to the golden table lamp sitting atop the shining antique side table. This feels like a bedroom right out of a period piece drama.

6. The Chic Country Cottage Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: I think that this is my personal favorite bedroom of the collection. It’s rustic, cozy, and has some beautiful mid-century modern inspired furniture pieces. It’s spacious, open, and bright, and it all starts with gorgeous antique hardwood floors, white walls, and stunning wood framed windows. It’s just precious in here and it makes me never want to leave.
Furniture: I absolutely adore this beautiful and minimal mid-century modern bed frame (clearly in a king size). It’s elegant simplicity speaks volumes, and matches perfectly with this beautiful rattan daybed set underneath the windows. Sweet little credenzas act both as art and as storage.
Decor: The decorations in this room are charmingly bohemian, with simple throw pillows and cozy blankets, vases of fresh flowers for a pop of color and life, and sweet little traditional table lamps. It’s so cozy and quaint in here I could just die!

7. The Traditional Spanish-Inspired Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: We’re going way back into traditional designs here, but I felt that this bedroom deserved to make the collection because of its obvious quality of structure and very charming design. Antique wood floors accompany gorgeous dark yellow faux finish walls, that guide us up towards an A frame ceiling decorated with rustic wooden exposed beams.
Furniture: A sweet plush bed frame decorated a sweet double bed, an antique side table matches the built in shelving units on the other side of the room, and the round armed lounge chair all come together to create a classic country style room. Timelessly stylish.
Decor: We see such dainty decorations in this room with floral curtains, ornate little lamps, floral and metallic pillows to add some pops of fun, and a very classic chandelier kind of makes me feel like I’m in an old lodge and this room was designed by a huntsman’s wife. So fun.

8. The More Chic than Shabby Primary Bedroom
Floors & Walls: While maybe not everyone will agree that this is a shabby chic room, I find so many elements of it that are. Light gray carpeting always bring a sense of modern comfort, while creamy walls ensure that the room always feels warm and inviting. My personal favorite part of this room is the vaulted ceiling adorned with incredible wooden beams that bring a warmth to the space that is absent in the other wooden elements of the room.
Furniture: Where we really start getting into the shabby chic is in the furniture design, with this super distressed and dramatic bed frame with a matching side credenza. All of the tones in the room are really working together, and the warmth of the fireplace and the ceiling really help offset the cooler tones of the furniture and the floor.
Decor: We have nothing but the most simple decoration with gentle throw pillows, simple white table lamps. and a rather gaudy looking mirror set above the fireplace. While I do appreciate how cohesive this room is, I think I would like a bit more darker tones in the decorations to create more of a contrast.
This fantastic bedroom design comes from Laura Roberts Interiors.
