Marion Sims Wyeth was an architect with many famous homes in his resume. He was born in New York City. He attended Princeton before studying in Paris in 1913-1914. He moved to Palm Beach in 1919. He was the first Palm Beach architect to become an elected fellow of the American Institute of Architects.

His homes include a property owned by Donald Trump, known as Mar-a-Lago. Mar-a-Lago takes inspiration from European palaces, and is absolutely decadent in its luxurious design. He also designed Doris Duke’s Shangri-La in Honolulu.

He’s known as one of Florida’s elite society architects, and for bringing luxury and class to a wide range of architectural styles. According to architect R.D. Dragistic, “He really was an architect who understood this type of client. He could produce work to their wishes that were still done by him — beautifully architecturally resolved, carefully done, but each one expressive of these clients who were used to having everything that they want, their fantasy.”
