Welcome to our gallery showcasing the beautiful Malvern East home, a project by Canny Contemporary Architects.
This is a home perfectly suited to the demands of a young and growing family, with a myriad of unique and stylish touches.
The openmindedย clients encouraged creativity inย the Canny design team, letting their imaginations run free. The front facade is uniquely layered, creating a dynamic view as one approaches the home.
Wrapping around to the back, a delightful alfresco area with stone clad fireplace stands between the home and a glass wrapped swimming pool. Along with the pool, the backyard boasts a free standing pool house containing discrete bathroom amenities.
The central open design inside the house boasts an unconventional kitchen, replete with cooktop-fitted island and lengthy attached dining table.
This flows into the living room space at the opposite end. Featuring four bedrooms in addition to the separate family meals, living, and sitting room, the floor plan hostsย both communal areas andย private living zones.
The garage is located completely below the home maximizing living space.
Children growing intoย teenage years are given space, with the first floor designated as aย retreat made up of two bedrooms, television room, bathroom, and separate powder room.
Across the back yard we see the glass wrapped pool abutting the pool house. Featuring a small living room with sliding glass panels to openly share space with the patio, the pool house also boasts a full, discrete bathroom facility.
Viewed from the side, we see a grand natural wood dining table surrounded by wicker seating on the pool house patio, as well as a view clear into the open design living room space.
The large central open space holds this innovative kitchen next to a full dining area. White island with cooktop features a lengthy tabletop extension for cozy dinning, as well as stainless appliances and natural wood upper shelving.
This closer look reveals the silver toned dining table extension on the sleek white island, as well as a windowed backsplash beneath glossy white cabinetry.
With a head-on view, we see the unique glass backsplash, allowing for a novel window space in the kitchen. Glass framed, stainless steel hood vent hangs free over the island.
The metallic island extension table stands in direct contrast with the warm tones of natural carved wood bar stools.
The dining table is a lengthy, dark stained hardwood piece, flanked by bespoke grey parson chairs. A set of spherical pendant lights float above.
Across the open space, we see the living room area, with a subtle fireplace tucked into the white wall below a set of climbing-man art pieces. Natural wood shelving built into the wall contrasts with stark white and grey tones, while sunlight pours in via full height glass at right.
Bathroom features a floating dual vanity in dark and white tones, with a pair of vessel sinks standing in contrast with glossy black walls and grey tile flooring.
Powder room features a singular white floating vanity with modern chrome tap built into the mirror. Gold patterned dark walls pair with the reflective drum lighting.
This secondary bathroom features another vessel sink, standing here between a large window seat soaking tub and glass enclosed walk-in shower.
