So, should there be different patio umbrella sizes for different patio table sizes? Or, should you just get an all-size-fits-all patio table kind of patio umbrella? While the current rule of thumb is that depending on the size, length and width of your patio table, you should get a particular shape and size of patio umbrella.
That as it may be, however, because of this one-size-fits all-buy-once-and-for-all-time Space Age we are living in, I remember after we returned from our honeymoon, Wifey was thinking of getting us a large “more convenient” all-size-fits-all patio tables kind of patio umbrella measuring 10-to-11-feet for the patio table set of 30-inches that we had received as a wedding present when she rightly thought it best to hear my opinion first.

On our wedding day, Wifey and I had vowed: “to have and to hold from this day forth”. In this regard, I wanted her within arms’ reach always. Getting an all-size-fits-all patio table kind of patio umbrella would therefore not only go against our vows, but it would also hinder our intimacy, as it would enable us to sit apart from each other, especially after one of our lovers’ tiffs.

For instance, just how much would the all-size-fits-all patio table kind of patio umbrella Wifey had in mindset us back? Any patio umbrella with a price tag of between $30.00 and $40.00 is considered a fair price.
Any above it would be on the pricey. Wifey shouldn’t forget that we were still yet to finish paying for the wedding and our Mexican honeymoon. Granted

While, when it comes to the angle of the sun and ultra-violet protection at different times of the day, an all-size-fits-all patio table kind of patio umbrella would have us covered, that was but just one advantage amongst over nine reasons. Other than that, a patio umbrella of the kind Wifey wanted was not such a great idea. Last but not least,

According to experts, when it comes to patio umbrella sizes and patio table sizes, a good rule of thumb is that a table size of up to 30-inches should have an umbrella size of six-to-six and a half feet and an umbrella base of 35lbs. A large patio umbrella like the one Wifey was proposing would be 10-to-11 feet wide, ideal for large table sizes of 84-inches wide or more. There was no way I was going to go against expert advice.
