By adding a terrace and remodeling the living room of a 1970s family home, we have succeeded in creating new connections between the individual living areas in order to generate an improvement in the quality of living.
The new terrace extension focuses more on the spacious garden and makes it an important part of the overall concept. Access the terrace through an oversized staircase that leads to the garden. This opens up the view of the garden and can also be used as seating and loungers at the same time.
The volume of the new extension protects the outside area from traffic noise. The busy street on which the house stands is now neither visible nor audible. The lush, existing trees and plants were fully integrated into the new project.
Thanks to the newly gained area of โโthe terrace, a barbecue niche, and a stainless steel whirlpool could be integrated, among other things. The technology required for this and the water tank is installed under the terrace, not visible. At the same time, this created additional storage space for garden utensils and the like.
The living room has been completely renovated and refreshed. The plaster ceiling that was put in, the newly plastered walls, and the colour-coordinated parquet floor make the room appear more spacious. Its bright and harmonious color and lighting concept was implemented.
The newly integrated fireplace with TV niche between the living room and the new terrace appears as room-dividing furniture and is designed in such a way that the connection to the outside is optimally underlined. The high-quality conversion created a private and versatile retreat for the whole family.
