The interior design project by StudioColnaghi, APTO JJ is a 165.00 m² apartment project in the city of Novo Hamburgo, RS – Brazil.

The project contemplates an apartment with with double ceiling in the living area with large glazed area that soon was point of departure for appreciation of the visual and sensation of greater amplitude in the space.

We developed several layout studies until we got the “island” configuration of the dinning / bar lounge giving greater flexibility of circulation and appreciation of the large glass / cellar in the background. Customers like the idea of a good space to invite friends and family but also that it is intimate for moments only in the family, so the big sofa has this idea. The social being also takes into account for this configuration that much of the time will be a place of familiar coexistence and comfort. The sofa with chaise besides valuing the space is also the perfect mobile to just enjoy the moment.

In the materiality we explore the lighter shades of wood with shades of white, fendi and gray bringing a very cozy palette and punctual highlights. The entire design follows the same line of inspiration that despite the neutral base is well valued by the punctual choice of design pieces. Many pieces of the furniture is from the designer Jader Almeida, brand Sollos and we identify their design with this proposal and style of customers.

Indirect light effects are quite recurrent in design, we work with various effects in composition with the designed woodworking.

The natural tauari wood flooring with fishbone placement is a darling of the design, which served as the starting point for various color combinations made. The warmth of this material is indisputable.

We love working with effects of different textures and the effect of natural light, effects that are evidenced in some of the photographer’s clicks.

  • This is a full view of the living room with a large L-shaped sofa and a couple of coffee tables complemented by the wall artworks and large glass wall.
  • Across from the L-shaped sectional sofa is the modern fireplace flanked by built-in cabinets and topped with a wall-mounted TV.
  • This is a close look at the living room coffee tables and the gray chair beside it that serves as a reading nook on the gray area rug that covers most of the hardwood flooring.
  • This is the hallway that leads from the living room area with a set of cabinets and shelves on the side adorned by the beige wall and ceiling.
  • This is a close look at the bedroom with a bed that has a cushioned headboard that extends to the bedside table topped with a couple of pendant lights.
  • This is a close look at the bathroom that has a large white marble structure on its sink vanity area matching with the bathtub housing.
  • This other bathroom has a two-sink white marble structure next to the glass-enclosed shower area and across from the toilet.
