That’s why we’ve created this collection of 20 gorgeous tropical bathrooms. For me, just taking the time to look at these incredibly designed bathrooms make me want to start planning my next vacation, or imagining a life where this could be the bathroom that I wake up to every morning.
In order to come up with the very specific design ideas, we create most designs with the assistance of state-of-the-art AI interior design software.
For some us this collection is just about gazing at some gorgeous and surreal bathrooms, for others they’re taking inspiration in order to elevate their own home bathrooms, or for others maybe they’re in the midst of designing their dream home and can actually live a life where they take baths in a tub made out of a giant carved out boulder.
Whoever you are, just know that you’re allowed to take two naps a day. Sit in the bath til the water gets warm and you feel awkward. Stand an extra 10 minutes in the shower after you’re already clean and just want to stay there. Rest! In a beautiful bathroom! Recharge! And then tackle the day like the warrior you are.
1. The Boulder Bath Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: We’re starting off this collection with this rustic, elegant, and incredibly beautiful beach vacation bathroom. The wonderful space starts with gorgeous limestone tiling for the main floors and for the shower walls, but smooth pebbles for the shower floors. Gotta love that texture.
We also have a lovely wood panel feature wall that guides us from the floor and cascades over the ceiling around the bathtub area. The differences in materials used really accentuates each part of the bathroom, giving each portion the true attention it deserves.
Features: This gorgeous bathroom features both an indoor shower area and an indoor shower area. Each shower features clear walls and high ceilings, an overhead spray nozzle, and plenty of room to space out. Clearly we’re saving the best feature for last, which is this incredible bathtub. The tub seems to be made from a carved out boulder, and it looks like it just rolled down and a hill and this was its resting spot.
Decoration: Each element of this room is so stunning that there really isn’t much decoration needed to bring it all together. We have a beautiful hanging light fixture made from ribboning wood surrounding the bulb which matches the wooden accent wall wonderfully.

2. The Green Garden Bathroom
Floors & Walls: Switching gears a bit with this bathroom design. The outside is really the focal point of this inspiration behind this bathroom design, and the floors and walls are really allowing that aspect to shine through. This space features some huge slabs of lightly colored cement and some crisp clean white walls. Exposed beams guide you towards a landscape length skylight, beaming down to the bathtub area.
Features: A floating double vanity with top-mount bowl sinks are set below a generously sized landscape mirror. Of course, the most incredible part of the room is the tub. A portion of the floor has been removed for a little recessed stone area where tons of huge tropical plants have been planted. In the centre we have a gorgeously deep porcelain tub set below a huge window revealing the tropical paradise outside.
Decoration: In my opinion, simplicity is king when it comes to bathrooms. This is the room where your daily troubles should melt away, and a great way to achieve that kind of mentality is by removing visual clutter. All this bathroom has is literally earth, stone, and plants. What could be more gorgeous and relaxing than that?

3. The Inside-Outside Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: This modern and minimal bathroom is incredible for several reasons. Starting with the pristine white floors and black accent walls to create a dramatic contrast that feels very modern. I love how the shower room is separated from the rest of the bathroom and is facing the outdoor area.
Features: Very minimal vanity areas of white cabinetry are facing each other, while the toilet room and shower rooms are separated, making it a truly elegant bathroom. Where things start to get really incredible is with this incredible hot tub that you can literally walk in to directly from the shower. Crystal clear blue water entices you in.
Decoration: This bathroom is modern and minimal to a T, meaning that the features and foundation of the room are really what are being used for decoration. This room guides you to the tropical outdoor oasis, which is really all of the decoration that you need in my opinion!

4. The View Room Bathroom
Floors & Walls: This beautiful bathroom is more on the modest and classic side, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less inviting, magical, and incredibly enticing. The room starts with warmly toned tiles that guides you to lightly textured walls with beautiful darker hardwood trim. An entire wall is dedicated to window, unveiling impossible light green water just outside.
Features: Separated vanity areas are adorned with beautiful wood drawers and top-mount bowl sinks, each with their own respective mirrors. I adore how and entire portion of the room is dedicated just to the bath rub area, which is impeccably deep and generously sized.
Decoration: This serene bathroom space is minimally decorated with gorgeous sheer white curtains, some wicker baskets for storage, and the view outside of the window does the rest. All you need now is a lovely fuzzy bath mat and some plants and you are in paradise.
5. The Underground Jacuzzi Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: Here we have a gorgeous cabin style bathroom that features two levels, the upper is our focus today. Stunning teak-looking hardwood has been used for the floor – which is slightly unusual to see in a bathroom – but considering that the walls are made from the same wood, and the ceiling is an A frame wicker construction, all of it put together really feels like you’re in a sauna in a grass hut.
Features: I really love how this bathroom isn’t totally for function. We have a gorgeous little sofa with the most beautiful shade of orange upholstery that is set in front of an under-mount bathtub. This is a feature that is very rarely seen, but it’s incredible to witness. There’s something extra special about stepping into a tub rather than stepping over it, y’know?
Decoration: The decoration in this room comes in the form of some elegant wall lights emitting a very relaxing hue. All of the other features of the room are so beautiful on their own that they don’t really need accessories!
6. The Stone Mastery Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: This room is truly a piece of artwork. I just can’t stop thinking about how heavy this entire room would be! The entire space is made of some incredible gorgeous limestone, from the floors to the walls, but the ceiling features a wonderful space between the walls and the roof feature, creating a panoramic window.
Features: An amazing stone countertop holds two bowl sinks, while the bathtub area really acts like a sculpture. What looks like a giant boulder has been buffed out on the inside to create a shining layer, while the outside has been left rough. It’s a work of art!
Decoration: This room is decorated in my favorite way: simply with enormous plants lining the entire outside of the room. It looks like the plants are planted directly into the earth behind the bathtub and sink, which is rather special, don’t you think? Soft lighting and soft bath mats really tie the whole thing together.
7. The Simple Serenity Tropical Bathroom

Floors & Walls: A simple and stunning tropical bathroom starts with some huge stone slabs with copper accents that have been used both for the floor and the walls.
Features: A floor to ceiling sliding door guides you towards a small outside area, where you can just hop right into an infinity pool, or the ocean. One of my favorite bathtubs I’ve ever seen looks like a giant ceramic egg that has been cracked open.
Decoration: This room design is decoration in itself, but that doesn’t mean that the adorable shell light shade doesn’t add a really adorable feel, as well as hitting home the tropical aesthetic.
8. The Stone Room Bathroom
Floors & Walls: Another stone bathroom that is wildly spacious, and using stone almost as a pattern. The floors are a mosaic of smooth brown and black stones, while the shower area with a sky light is using the same stone, but they haven’t been smoothed out! The remaining walls are adorned with lovely tan stone tiles.
Features: A semi-outdoor shower area with a waterfall faucet is obviously the best part of the room, but that’s not to say that the modern corner jacuzzi tub isn’t contributing to the room as well. A classic sink with a top-mount feature is functional and timeless.
Decoration: With so much incredible stonework going on in this room, not much decoration is needed. I think the bare walls could use some colorful pieces of art, and some plants would be so happy in the skylit shower area!
9. The Ceramic Tub Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: This beautiful bathroom is on the more rustic side, but still tropical nonetheless. It starts with a gorgeous dark stone used for both the floors and the backsplash for the tub, while the walls are made from antique wood panels. A big window set above the bathtub is softened with a sheer light brown curtain.
Features: Stunning woodworking has gone into the cabinetry for this room, which is adorned with an equally lovely stone bowl for the sink. This collection is just full of bath tub materials that I’ve never seen before, and this smooth stone one is probably one of my favorites.
Decoration: Yet another room that is so gorgeous all on its own that it really doesn’t need much decoration, but I do adore the tiny detail of those little yellow flowers above the faucet. They provide such a gentle splash of color, and they accentuate the tropical aesthetic as well.
10. The Bathroom of Fantasies
Floors & Walls: This is one of the most special designs in the collection, and it starts with mahogany hardwood floors. I honestly can’t really tell what the rest of the walls are made from because there is so much color and dynamic situating going on, but I can safely say that it’s gorgeous!
Features: This bathroom (literally, a bath-room, a room just for a bath) is so unique. I’ve never seen a tub like this before, but it’s clear that it was designed for couples. It’s shaped like a spacious bed would be, and it’s more shallow than the conventional tub. It’s perfect for a couples soak not just because of the shape, but because of the flower petals scattered across the surface of the water. Just stunning.
Decoration: I’m starting to think that this is an outdoor bathroom area. These gorgeous trees have been planted directly into the ground and they’re cascading above the walls and reaching for the sky. The green of the plants is wonderfully contrasted with the purple throw pillows on the little sofa at the back of the room.

11. The Tropical Cove Bathroom
Floors & Walls: Yet another bathroom that is offering functionality as a piece of art. The room starts with literal pebbles lining the floor, which guides us up to sleek black stone tiling for the entire walls. This room is elegant, dramatic, and enticing.
Features: A stand up waterfall shower area segues you towards the bath tub, which is not only an beautiful shade of delicate green and cream, but it’s super low set and shaped like a bowl. This is like a ceramic vase coming to gigantic and exquisite life.
Decoration: This tropical bathroom is gloriously decorated only by a collection of happy plants that are receiving moisture from the humidity of the shower and bath tub, and sunlight from the skylight set right above the bath tub area.
12. The Tub in a Pond Bathroom
Floors & Walls: It feels like these bathrooms are just getting more extravagant and amazing as the collection goes on. I can’t even really describe the walls and the floor because the floor is a pond, and the walls are stones with a waterfall cascading over them.
Features: This gorgeous outdoor bathroom features only a gorgeous stone bathtub that is set above a pond. The designer really wanted the bather to feel like they were entering a wild tropical oasis, and I think they achieved that with flying colors.
Decoration: This room is decorated by living things. We have a pond with plants growing in it, potted plants, a literal waterfall, beautiful shoots of bamboo, stone statues, and three little orange puff balls sitting on top of the faucet area. I don’t what they are or what they do, but they are here and we love them.
13. The Relaxation Escape Bathroom

Floors & Walls: This quaint bathroom space is really doing wonders with the space that it does have. White tiles are lined with pebbles to create a lovely combination of rustic and cleanliness. While tiled white walls are lined with beautiful wood trim to achieve the same effect!
Features: This bright and airy bathroom starts with an open shower area that segues you towards the bathtub. I love the shape of the tub, but I also love how lighting is being used to make it look like it’s almost levitating. The bathroom is decorated by a gorgeous window that’s simply filled with huge tropical green leaves, adding an element of freshness.
Decoration: The room is really gorgeously designed in that the decorations are incorporated into the foundation of the room. A rustic side table is there for whatever libation you choose for your soaking time, while the tub itself is decorated with a sprinkle of yellow petals.
14. The Happy Bath Bathroom
Floors & Walls: It’s really hard to tell which bathroom is your favorite in this collection, because each one of them is completely special and unique. This beautiful space starts with pebbles for the floor, but also pebbles for the wall. While this might become too heavy in some rooms, it doesn’t feel that way here because one of the walls in made entirely from dimpled glass. The greenery beaming outdoors makes the room feel fresh and expansive.
Features: This beautiful bathroom features an absolutely huge stone tub that matches the color of the pebbles that have been used for the walls and floor. While we can’t see the vanity area, I’m sure that it’s impeccably lovely.
Decoration: I absolutely adore the decorations in this room. A smiling face and a stone flower have been embedded directly into the wall, while a huge plant on a pedestal brings the outside in. Potted plants with bright orange and red flowers bring a simple but dramatic and welcome contrast of color to the darker toned room.
15. The Couples Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: I find it wild that I’m about to say this is a more modest bathroom design, but that is purely because of how exquisite all of the others have been! Diagonally arranged floors are broken up by a pebble moat which guides you towards two platforms for individual waterfall showers. White walls are lined with rustic wooden trim, creating a really incredible space.
Features: This wonderful room comes together with a double open shower area with waterfall faucets that cascade over a super cool pebble feature for water drainage. A double vanity area with gorgeous live edge countertops are topped with lovely top-mount bowl sinks, each corresponding with their own wood framed mirrors.
Decoration: This room is very simply decorated with a collection of various woven baskets, a couple of vertical art pieces, and some happy and healthy potted plants. Bathrooms are such wonderful places to put your plants because of the humidity, so all the better if they’re sunny, too!
16. The Safari Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: This beautiful bathroom space is more on the modest side, but nonetheless a simple, rustic, and stunning place to take a bath. Starting with gorgeous copper colored stone floors and wood used for the walls, these darker and warmer tones really make the lighter tones in the room pop. Having huge windows in the space also ensures that it doesn’t become too dark or closed in.
Features: We have a bathroom that is quaint and simple, featuring a classic but deep porcelain tub, and some simple wooden countertops mounted with bowl sinks. It ain’t much, but it’s really all that you could need at the same time.
Decoration: This bathroom is free from decorations, just your standard white towels and bath mats which looks lovely in contrast to the brown features of the room. I just adore the idea of having a full wall window while taking a soak. Where else would you be looking?
17. The Tropical Oasis Bathroom

Floors & Walls: You can’t help but guess that this is the bathroom of the honeymoon suite at some incredible resort in the tropics. This room really has everything, and it comes to life at night. The dark tiles used for both the walls and the floors combined with the lower lighting turn the room into an extremely moody and enticing space.
Features: This couples bathroom is very cleverly designed, with individual vanities set on opposite sides of the room complete with generously sized top-mount sinks and little rounded mirrors. The centre of the room features a long jacuzzi tub (long enough for two) complete with fresh flower petals floating in the water. Just divine.
Decoration: I really enjoy how this space is relying on lighting as the main source of decoration. I’ve always believed that lighting can completely change the essence of a room, and we have a great example of that here with low lighting, candles, and wall mounted lights emitting such a warm glow.

18. The Sunroom Bathroom
Floors & Walls: We’re moving away from romance and towards comfort with this gorgeous coastal property. The floors is adorned with gorgeously antique, lighter stained wood floors (which seems appropriate for a coastal cabin) and white panels for the walls. I almost think that this is a sunroom with a bathtub set up in it, which makes it even better!
Features: This simple but adorable bathroom is complete with a tiny vanity set in front of a little window, and a classic clawfoot tub set directly in front of a beautiful seaside view. This feels like a personal project gone really right.
Decoration: I simply adore the way that this room is decorated, with a lightly toned woven rug, a relaxing lounge chair, potted plants, and cozy linens around the room. I also love the hanging light fixture made from oyster shells which is really hitting home the oceanic aesthetic. This is one of my favorites.

19. The Waterfall Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: This bathroom is incredible for so many reasons. Dark gray tiled floors give it a modern feel, while the very earthen tan walls make the room feel super organic and welcoming. A very interesting juxtaposition of aesthetics going on here.
Features: Here we have a bathroom that is doing something very special. An egg shaped tub divides the room, while a truly remarkable shower feature dominates our attention. A waterfall shower with a mirrored faucet almost turns the area into a skylight, which pours down into a charcoal bath area.
Decoration: This stunning space is decorated with nothing but some very happy plants. The bathroom even features a living wall behind the bathtub, which turns this space into a tropical bathroom without it really needing to be set in the tropics. This bathroom could be anywhere, meaning the person who lives here is constantly on vacation.

20. The Deep Tub Tropical Bathroom
Floors & Walls: Were finishing off this collection with a very special bathroom design. Though we can’t see the floors, we see that the walls are alternating between rustic wood panels and cream colored paint (always a good combination) but most importantly the room is overtaken by a huge window that unveils the grass roof above us, and perfect blue ocean right below.
Features: This is probably one of my most favorite bathtubs that I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous subtly toned orange ceramic has been used to create a super deep rectangular tub suitable for a couple. It’s wide edges and double faucet really makes is so that you feel like you could stay all day, eat a bowl of strawberries, and forget your troubles.
Decoration: This space is so wonderfully decorated, complete with mood lighting, fresh flower petals in the bath tub, a happy palm in the corner, and an even happier pink orchid. This place is serenity to a T.
