About the House
The 1.6-acre lot has more than just a gorgeous, unique home. There are also two garages for your cars, boats, or other toys. Jump in the pool to cool off during the hot summer days. Take a leisurely stroll through the rose garden, or enjoy an adult beverage and watch the sun go down from the large terrace.
The home was originally built for the Pochis family in 1988. With her husband passed away and children are grown and moved out, Marlene Pochis is now ready to sell the home. They have been the only family to reside here since it was built.
What makes this home truly unique is its floor plan. Quite the opposite of today’s popular open concept floor plans, Stanley Tigerman’s home is more like a little village. This is especially evident from the outside, where it looks like several small buildings make up the larger one-story home. However, it is actually all one building, but with a lot of walls and hallways.
Each room is designed with a different shape, including squares, circles, and abstract shapes. Because of the unique shape of these rooms, some of the furniture was custom designed by Tigerman to fit into the room since standard furniture would not fit the room’s dimensions or aesthetic.
With three bedrooms and seven bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for the entire family across the 5,100 square feet. The home also features a large kitchen, living room and family room, den, fireplace, recreation room, and laundry room.
This home is ideal for those who are introverted or like to have their own space. In case you get lost, the living room features a rug that has a map depicting all the rooms in the home by their various-shaped perimeters. The rug will stay with the home when it sells.
The dining room is large enough to fit any size family. It is currently set up with two dining tables. The larger, rectangular table can seat six people. The smaller, round table has seating for two, but could easily be upgraded to four. Of course, these could be swapped out for one much larger table to seat 8-10 people.
There is plenty of room in the kitchen to design your perfect meal. With two large islands and pendant lights hanging from the ceiling, you can spend hours creating new recipes or catching up with family and friends.
