Welcome to our gallery featuring the Provencal by ARS-IDEA Interior and Architectural Design.
This uniquely textured, bright and open home interior design focuses on intimate detail and a sense of flow.
The open heart of the home is wrapped in a bright, light green color scheme and comfortable furnishings.
The design team approached this home with the full force of their 10 years of experience, having over 150 projects under their collective belt. The subtle nature of the design shows a maturity of artful style.
It’s not often that we consider a home interior to be graceful, but in this case no other adjective will do. The light mixture of green elements and white surroundings creates a truly refreshing interior experience.
There’s a grand sense of detail in this home from the flooring on up, including painted beams on the ceiling, intricately carved moldings, and spare but powerful use of color throughout.
One of the biggest ways that the design differentiates various spaces within the home is the use of broadly defined color palettes, all close but distinct. The living room is flush with light green, the kitchen features a darker aqua tone, and the primary bedroom is defined by rich natural wood exposed beams.
While the living room employs color as texture, on the furniture and wallpaper, the kitchen boasts deeply colored cabinetry in contrast to its white walls. The bedroom is the most striking, with a bright white ceiling crossed with dark natural wood.
Throughout the home, elegant fixtures, lighting, and other small details help complete the picture.
The living room sits beneath a lightly vaulted ceiling with intricately detailed wood beams. The corner is anchored by a white painted wooden feature wall.
Large windows cast an abundance of natural light across this lightly colored space. The extra large sofa and floral print armchair anchor the contemporary room in a more traditional style.
The layout of the home connects this room closely with the dining room and kitchen through a pair of ornate doorways. The molding on both windows and doors is exceptionally detailed.
With a wide view of the room, we see the richly patterned hardwood flooring beneath the light green furniture. This adds another layer of detail and focus to the room.
The dining room is an eruption of fine detail, with floral elements wrapping the walls and appearing on the seat cushions. This acts as a nice contrast to the bold white surroundings and furniture.
The dining room is completely wrapped in tall windows for a greenhouse-like effect.
Entering the kitchen, we’re met with large swaths of rich aqua green coloring on the cabinetry and shelving. This color splash helps define it within the home.
From the kitchen, we see a direct view to the large dining room. The other side of this counter also acts as a space for in-kitchen dining.
The kitchen also features a unique tile backsplash with painted pieces interspersed with white tiles. It’s another layer of contrast and detail for the elegant design.
The richly painted cabinetry stands as one of the more unique cupboard colors we’ve ever seen. in contrast, a set of glass door cabinets appears to the left.
Finally we come to the primary bedroom. Again, floral patterns appear on the wall, but this time they’re in light pink and red tones.
A major draw of this bedroom is the sloped ceiling, skylights, and broad, irregularly shaped glass balcony doors. This allows for an abundance of sunlight in the high contrast room. At left, a unique dark wood bookshelf is built into the wall.
The bedroom features abundant space for relaxing in the sunlight, with a pair of armchairs and coffee table at left.
The dark natural wood exposed beams run down the sloped ceiling and help form the framework for the large bookshelves running the length of the room. This helps create the utterly cohesive sense of contrast in this space.
We leave off returning to the living room, to show off the rich marble fireplace standing in the corner. This bold element anchors the lightly colored space without drawing attention to itself.
