Today we present a collection of images from a remodeled Potomac home, by Forma Design.
Several years after FORMA was commissioned to redesign their two-story 4000 square foot Potomac home, this young family came back and tasked them with bringing the 2000 square foot, unfinished, full English basement up to par with the rest of the house.
They requested all the additional functions that a family with a 10 and a 13 year old needs today to complement their modern lifestyle. A large study room for the kids accommodated computers and filing areas, homework and game table, and ample storage for toys and books.
A large family room with easily movable furniture and large screen video games is complemented with a wine cellar and bar area for the overseeing adults. The basement now features a modern guest suite with sleeping and bath areas. The main stair hall seamlessly continues to the lower floor, and the details and lighting of the main house are mirrored in the English basement, ensuring that it feels like an organic part of the main house.
We hope you enjoy our glimpse at this unique home, packed with fantastic ideas for any designer.
