Welcome to our gallery featuring the stunning Natalie Court home with landscaping by C.O.S. Designs.
This intricately crafted home comes part and parcel with its integrated landscape construction.
The design offers a flexible space that bridges the gap between indoors and out.
The aim was to create a luxurious resort experience for the homeowners, right in Yarra Glen, a suburb of Victoria, Australia. This ultimate outdoor space completely blurs the line between indoors and out with a large dose of luxury.
The homeowners insisted on an outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, a family sized swimming pool, a hard court for basketball, and an outdoor fire pit, all circled by the expansive lawn. This meant that a lot of luxuries normally reserved for interiors were making an appearance.
The large pool and spa function as a sort of backbone for the property, aligning the various outdoor components and centering the experience for those visiting the home.
The outdoor room, attached to the house itself and sheltered via a broad roof, becomes the social hub of the home. This space holds a custom built kitchen and entertainment area, featuring standard accommodations and functions that would normally be found indoors.
This sheltered outdoor area features ceiling mounted heaters for the cooler winter months and ceiling fans for the hottest times of the year. A large TV is also mounted here, just in case.
That wood fired pizza oven sits off to the side of the alfresco dining area, while the open fire pit stands on the other side.
This incredible space also includes an outdoor shower and bathroom for convenience, hidden from view in a portion of the garden. Also concealed from view of the home is a basketball court and built-in trampoline, adding entertainment options for kids.
Throughout this garden space there are cycads, magnolias, birds of paradise, honey locust, and many more specific and exotic species of greenery, cementing the resort style look of the landscape.

We begin inside the large outdoor kitchen and dining area, centered on the massive natural wood table. From here we see both the full featured kitchen island and the wood fired pizza oven, surrounded by immaculate garden space.
This well appointed space has almost every luxury that an indoor kitchen has, with the added benefit of outdoor views and cool breezes. The interior is just a step away through large glass doors.
The view from this space is spectacular. We can see the pool and surrounding patio segments, as well as a wealth of plant life surrounding the property.
The pool is an exquisite construction, wrapping a built-in jacuzzi and flanked by a pair of raised natural wood platforms. The wall at the far end obscures the basketball court.
The landscape was designed to wrap around the pool, granting expansive, richly detailed views to the space while helping grant it some privacy.
The pool is wrapped in micro tile for an intricate, textured look that helps set it apart from the surroundings. The surrounding patio elements add contrast and a timeless richness.
The landscape design includes several focal points, like this raised hardwood platform with a unique outdoor day bed. The surrounding low walls help contain discrete garden spaces.
At night, an intricately patterned set of subtle lighting elements brings the entire space to new life. The glow of the pool extends over the patio.
The lighting scheme helps highlight the carefully crafted design of the entire landscape, from trees and plants to the rich natural wood walls and platforms. The pool becomes even more of a centerpiece at night.
Off to the side of the sheltered patio area, we see the raised fire pit space with surrounding flagstone rock wall. The complex, layered landscape design can be fully appreciated here in its various stages.
Standing on the patio near the pool, we can see the nighttime lighting highlighting trees on the far end of the property, reinforcing the sense of privacy and the resort style look of the landscape.
Here’s a look at the basketball court, nicely sequestered from the rest of the landscape by a small feature wall. In the distance, we can see the built-in trampoline.
Here’s a detailed look at the terraced landscaping and some of the plant life growing here.
The expansive lawn has room for plenty of whimsey, courtesy of features like these cow sculptures.
