Welcome to our gallery of kitchens featuring white cabinets and dark granite countertops.
The use of white in the kitchen is a great way to keep the room feeling bright and open, even in a small space. But let’s face it, too much white can be overwhelming.
One great way to break up the use of white is with a dark-colored countertop! It doesn’t even have to be black or grey; although those do look rather sharp in a white kitchen, you can use blue, green, or even brown.
Countertops can be made out of a multitude of different materials but above all else, granite remains one of the most versatile materials choices.
Granite is tough and durable – second only to diamond in natural hardness – easy to care for, resistant of staining and bacteria when properly sealed, will last for decades, and comes in a variety of beautiful colors and patterns.
You can use granite to complement or contrast the color palette of your kitchen or use it as the only color. It can be highly polished for a shiny, reflective look or it can be matte and softened, allowing for the color and streaking to show even better.
Not only do these kitchens feature these two key design elements, most of them contain gorgeous and innovative ideas for classing up any home.
There are some great examples of how to include pops of accent colors without depending on accessories that can quickly clutter up counters. Many include striking kitchen islands that could inspire your next design project.
Regardless of what you may be looking for, we hope that something here will spark your interest and influence your own kitchen designs or remodels.
