Welcome to our gallery featuring kitchens with dark cabinets and dark granite!
A striking combination is created when balancing a possibly overpowering use of dark colors in a room.
Kitchens, though, offer some of the most versatile amounts of space for this situation.
Cabinets can be all dark, or just the bottom cabinets while the top remain a lighter color, or vise versa.
Here we’ve gathered a collection of dark cabinets with the added bonus of balancing dark countertops as well. The key is to keep a balance of the light and the dark while also complimenting both.
Take the kitchen above for example. An extensive use of dark cabinets and dark flooring warrants the use of white and light colors on the walls and ceiling to keep the dark hues in check.
Even in a predominantly dark room there is a delicate balance of colors to keep the room from feeling too small or cave-like. White and gray are not the only color options either, many kitchens successfully utilize yellows and tans to balance out a dark design.
