A unique urban home that is a mix of modern and contemporary.
We are pleased to present another gallery featuring one of SoCal Contractor’s unique and modern homes.
The Urban Vibe home is a great example of a home with an eclectic modern yet contemporary interior design. Featured above is the home’s kitchen and living room, an open-concept design that allows for easy entertainment.
The living room itself is in rich dark chocolate brown armless sofas and has a uniquely shaped coffee table. The enclosed fireplace extends from the back wall, and is topped by a wall-mounted television.
On either side of the fireplace are two floating shelves topped by large mirrors. The kitchen itself is very modern, with glossy green barstools at the glass countertop eat-in bar. The backsplash is the same shade of bold green, and all the appliances are stainless steel.
The rest of the home tends to be more on the contemporary side, although there are always modern elements in each design. Look for the sleek bed frames and shapes of the light fixtures.
Fun, fresh, and unexpected design elements appear throughout. From bold colors, to the masterful use of textures, SoCal Contractor is truly a master of aesthetics.
We hope you enjoy this fantastic eclectic home design as much as we do.
The main floor dining room has light hardwood flooring and a rich dark dining table with seating for four. A wooden planting box sits against the back wall in the same finish as the flooring. The walls are heavily textured and provide unique visual interest and contrast.
The main floor hallway has stairs leading up to the second floor and down to the basement. The simple light wood hallway has tile on the walls and an accent photo wall. The only furniture are two vases with branches.
The upstairs hallway has delicate orb lighting, a stainless steel bannister, and a doorway leading outside.
The upstairs bedroom has textured gray walls and a low-profile platform bed with blue and white bedding. A small three-tier shelf acts as a nightstand.
A view from the nightstand to the inset enormous dresser on the far side of the room. The light fixture is shaped like an extended paper lantern. The very contemporary beige rug between the dresser and the bed has a single armless chair.
The upstairs bathroom is entirely in glass mosaic tiles and has inset shelves on either side of the mirror that are used as towel storage.
On the lowest level is the master suite. The sleek curved bed frame is topped by silky bedding and a fuzzy blanket. Low glass-topped nightstands have hanging lights above them. A pocket door leads into the master bathroom.
The trough sink has two faucets. The archway leads into the walk-in closet for the master suite. On the opposite side of the sink is towel storage and a line of drawers.
On the other side of the master bathroom is the enormous tile-enclosed soaking tub. The back edge is lined with extra towels and a few decorative accents.
On the top floor is the family room, which has a modern circular sectional sofa with a red coffee table at the center. On the opposite side of the room is a bar area and a sliding glass door that leads to a deck.
