With this gallery we are shining a spotlight on the the minimalist, natural wood-filled Sungs house, a modern home creation by PartiDesign.
Based in Taiwan, the designers have imbued this house with their signature style, consisting of expanses of natural wood tones, clean white surroundings, and modern minimalist aesthetics. The most prominent feature to note is the brilliant array of varied wood tones, balancing the clean minimalism with rich natural materials.
Utilizing the compact space efficiently and thoughtfully, the design centers around a large, open central area that one sees when first entering the home. Consisting of a living room and dining area, this space connects to every other area of the home directly.
A subtly high contrast look is achieved throughout the home, mixing soft concrete grey with bold swaths of white and standout flourishes of natural wood in a variety of hues. Look for built-in shelving, wall panels, and furniture all made from matching sets of wood, creating a style that’s preternaturally coherent.
The central open space shares a living and dining room, defined by the contrast between natural wood tones, concrete, and expanses of white.
Moving closer, we see the dining room, defined by its matching wood tones on the shelving and large dining table. White chairs and single pendant lamp create a burst of brightness.
The array of shelving and storage built into the wall stands next to the entry door, defining the dining area from the larger living room. The table shares seating with a pair of white chairs, plus bench and cubic stool in matching wood tones.
The kitchen can be seen here through a set of sliding glass doors. Grey and white sleek cabinetry and appliances make it stand apart from the rest of the home.
In the open hall space, concrete walls are exposed for a unique aesthetic, contrasting with the bright hues of wood details and white ceilings.
Here’s a detail view of a unique wall-mounted shelf in the living room. A simple cubic structure hides a drawer for useful items like keys.
The home features an office with a built-in light wood desk and matching shelving, in contrast with all-white surroundings.
