Steven Mnuchin is the current United States Secretary of the Treasury as part of the Cabinet of Donald Trump. He was a former American investment banker, a film producer, and hedge-fund manager.

Born on December 21, 1962, in New York City, Steven Mnuchin is the second-youngest son in his family. He graduated from Yale University in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree and started working for Goldman Sachs after. Upon leaving Goldman Sachs in 2002, Mnuchin started putting his name on top of the business industry, specifically in Hedge funds and worked with Donald Trump. In 2015, Mnuchin became a member of CIT Group’s board of directors and owned $97 million in CIT Group stock.

Mnuchin resigned from the CIT Group in 2016 as a result of his selection as nominee for Secretary of the Treasury. He was confirmed as Treasury Secretary on the following year.
