Welcome to our gallery highlighting the exquisite craftwork of the Southerland Residence, by G&G Interior Design.
G&G Interior Design, created in 2007 by husband and wife team Charlie & Ramona Griffin, brought over 20 years of experience to this project. The team approaches each interior completely fresh, with no “signature” look weighing them down creatively. Each project is designed uniquely for the customer, and the Southerland Residence is no exception.
This masculine styled space was completed for a bachelor homeowner, aiming to make his new home feel particularly suited to his lifestyle and space needs. Texture and warm colors were important facets. Unique finishing touches abound, making the space inviting, open, and great for entertaining.
You’ll notice an abundance of specific details throughout the home, including a high diversity of texture and materials, a cohesive sense of space and scale, and a deep focus on personal touches. Keep your eyes out for particularly gripping elements, from the flooring on up.
The living room, centered on a large fireplace with television mounted above the white mantle, features a high texture area rug over hardwood flooring. Mocha brown sofas are countered with high texture throw pillows, while light hued walls make the space inviting.
The coffee table is a unique modern rustic creation, with light natural wood surface and dark metal framing. The area rug is highlighted by a multicolored bar pattern, adding contrast and detail to the expansive natural hardwood flooring.
The open-plan design of the home allows for this large space to be shared between a fully equipped and rich kitchen, and a dining area centered on a massive hardwood table. Rich wood cabinetry, tile backsplash, and dark countertops add up to a highly detailed kitchen space.
Turning the opposite direction, wee see a shelving set that matches the modern rustic look of the coffee table, with sleek natural wood shelves supported by a black metal framework. The foyer and staircase are highlighted by white painted details.
This close view of the shelving reveals just a handful of the numerous rich details sprinkled throughout the home. The rustic and industrial elements prominently show via the selection of decorative elements.
