Stained glass may not give you a great view of the surrounding landscape, or fill the room with natural light like a regular window would allow. But it provides a spectacular light show, reflecting different colors from the glass.
Many times in a home setting, stained glass provides an elegant accent to the room. As you will notice, stained glass traditionally has a fanciful design with intricate patterns.
Colorful panes of glass are pieced together to form a singular window. This creates somewhat of a lighting effect for the room, but also helps to shield the direct sunlight from shining though.
Stained glass does not have to cover a whole window either, you will notice that in many of these spaces, small sections of stained glass windows are the perfect subtle accents for the room.
