Welcome to our collection of what we call “nice homes”.
In our opinion, “nice” understates these houses, but they surely qualify. They aren’t opulent. They aren’t modern. They aren’t boring. They’re the type of house that many people like; they have universal appeal.
Interestingly, there’s no one style that dictates what a nice house is. Obviously, the selected houses in this collection is based on our preferences, but we are mindful of choosing a variety of styles, sizes, colors and designs that most people would agree are nice.
Enjoy the collection.
Very nice white 3-story home with a gambrel roof
We kick off with a home I love, both inside and out. The lot is small; the home, coming in at 4,864 sq. ft. takes up most of the lot, but that doesn’t matter when you see both the exterior design and interiors through.

Upstate Farmhouse Design by chango & co.
If you like farmhouse style (who doesn’t), you’ll love this exterior and interior design by chango & co. It’s farmhouse, but done in a clean, contemporary style. You can tell that no detail was spared throughout the entire home. Because farmhouse style (especially like this) has such wide appeal, we simply could not leave this home out of our collection.

Two-House Compound Property on Nantucket
I love Nantucket. I don’t live there. I’ve only visited once, but I love the styles of homes on the island. So much so, that I had to include a home in our collection of nice houses.
Our selection is not one home, but a two-home property with a swimming pool. These homes are a pretty good size for Nantucket. The interiors are as nice as the exterior.
Check out this property and both homes here.
East Hampton Summer Home by DÉCOR AID
DÉCOR AID knocked it out of the park with this design. Actually, it’s the second home they did for the client, which speaks volumes about DÉCOR AID’s talent. This is a classic summer house in the Hamptons. It’s not a massive mansion, but it’s beautifully done with open concept main living space and 4 large bedrooms to accommodate 8 people very comfortably. The guest bedrooms are large with two double beds in each.
The backyard is a stunning oasis with large paver patio, dining area, fireplace and pool.
Bykovo House by Oleg Klodt Architecture & Design
Okay, admittedly this home in Russia is a mansion and it’s grand. Despite that, the design offers universal appeal. The materials are rich but not ostentatious. Each room is large, but not cavernous. The furnishings are second-to-none. There’s not a single room in this very nice affluent home that I don’t like.
BOMA House by SAOTA
I absolutely love this house because it’s an indoor-outdoor living design. Check out how the interior flows to the outdoors. This home includes a large courtyard space with pool, but the real genius is the actual interior design. It’s contemporary, stylish and comfortable. The rooms flow beautifully together creating a home despite it’s large size.
