The most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps, is trying to sell his equally gold medal-worthy home in Arizona for a nice profit.
Michael Phelps is an American retired swimmer who is the current record holder for having the most number of Olympic medals, 28 in all, won. He also earned the recognition of being the first American male swimmer to be a part of five Olympic teams. While he became the youngest American male swimmer to be a part of the Olympic Games when he competed at 15 in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, he made history for being the oldest Olympic swimmer to have won an individual gold medal at 28.
Phelps, nicknamed “The Flying Fish,” has set a whooping total of 39 world records, the most number of records of all time. He also broke the world record at the 2009 World Championship’s 100-meter butterfly by swimming at an amazing speed of 5.5 miles per hour. Now, he is the long course world record holder not only in the 100-meter butterfly but also in 200-meter butterfly, and 400-meter individual medley. He used to hold the long course world record in the 200-meter individual medley and 200-meter freestyle.
In June 2016, Phelps secretly married his girlfriend Nicole Johnson, whom he has been dating on and off since 2001. Johnson is former Miss California USA. Their first son, Boom Robert Phelps, was born in May 2016. Less than a year later, their second son, Beckett Richards Phelps, was born in February 2018.
The Phelps family calls Paradise Valley, Arizona their home. It is also where he spends his time volunteering alongside his coach Bob Bowman.
In 2008, Phelps set up the Michael Phelps Foundation using his $1 million bonus from Speedo. The foundation aims to promote the sport of swimming and healthier lifestyles. He also co-founded the nonprofit org Swim with the Stars to run camps for swimmers from all walks of life. In 2017, he became a part of Medibio, a company with a vision of diagnosing Mental Health disorders.

What to Love About the House
His Arizona home has the enviable background of the Camelback Mountains. Its Santa Barbara vibes are all thanks to it having imported French Oak hardwood floors, European stone, beamed ceilings, granite thresholds, and marble countertops. It also boasts of a grand chef’s kitchen with an adjoining breakfast room, allowing the entire household to enjoy the spectacular view of the outdoors during meals. It has a media room, custom game room, 350-bottle wine room, and a sports room that comes complete with locker cabinets. The Phelps home also boasts of four fireplaces and shiplap walls.
Given the beloved sport of its owner, the home has a great heated swimming pool and spa, kept private by courtyards, white concha stone patios, and landscaping with rolling grass, and fruit-bearing trees, such as tangerine, orange, lime, lemon, apple, and peach.
