Welcome to our gallery highlighting the playful yet restrained contemporary styled Tribeca NYC Residence by Rinaldi Interiors.
The homeowners, a family of six, first lived on just one floor of this building, but decided to break through to the upper level, creating a single large apartment. They were interested in a light and airy feel, with an open floor plan to make entertaining guests an easy possibility – being a loft building in Tribeca helped with this aspect immensely.
Some of the building materials, like the stone staircase, were chosen by the architect.
The kitchen is by Henry Built. Knowing how common white kitchens are, the owners chose a neutral grey palette, with a built-in banquet to maximize space.
The existing floors were lightened as much as possible, emphasizing the light and open visual sense. One of the standout features of this home is the photograph wall.
The owner is a huge photography lover and personally shot all of the images on the wall. Rinaldi crafted the mosaic into wallpaper themselves.

High ceilings and light hardwood flooring help brighten this open design dining area, with a large rich wood table at center hosting a set of grey toned chairs. Asymmetrical chandelier hangs above, reflected in the large gold-framed mirror on the far wall.
This view allows us a close look at the metal and blown glass light hardware, as well as the metal and glass framed stone staircase.
The kitchen features this detail rich banquet area, with a white topped table and wraparound polka-dot bench saving space in the corner. Unique dark stained barrel light hangs above, with rich wood cabinetry in background, including smoked glass doors at center.
The living room itself centers an array of modern furniture over a soft grey rug, defining the area within the larger open space. Minimalist sofa and shell-design chair flank a large purple circular ottoman, beneath striking art pieces on the walls.
The series of minimalist pieces on the living room wall are framed in dark wood, adding detail and contrast to the white space.
Here is the spectacular photography wall. All images were taken by the homeowner, and crafted into a custom wallpaper piece by the designers.
Bathroom features a burst of bright colors, with blue and red floral wallpaper wrapping a white tile floor. Unique white framed, glass-top table stands in corner, holding a single orange rhinoceros sculpture.
Primary bedroom features an intricate, large scale map all, adding textural detail to the neutral hued space. Large button tufted headboard is flanked by a pair of white bedside tables.
This dresser features a mixture of rustic and contemporary elements, with aged wood framing white drawer panels, and angular metal hardware. The single gold hued bowl standing below white framed mirror injects a burst of color into the space.
Here is one of the children’s bedrooms, decked out in yellow walls and aqua curtains, with white bedding and bedside table. Polka dots make an appearance here, in rainbow colors.
A second kids room features bold green walls over white bedding, while polka dots make another appearance in green on the headboard.
The large playroom holds a perfect mixture of lightness and color, with a white, glass-topped table surrounded by rainbow patterned accent chairs. Built-in shelving holds books, next to art pieces on the wall.
Finally we return to the central open space and the stone staircase, with metal and glass railing. The light hardwood flooring reaches throughout the home brightening with the white walls all around.
