We are pleased to bring you this gallery highlighting a private residence renovation by GTM Architects, centering around a sprawling kitchen.
As part of a total home transformation, the expansion and renovation culminates with the cathedral-like kitchen featured here.
The soaring, vaulted ceiling adds interest, with arched beams running the length of the room in elaborate detail.
With a layout crafted for family life and entertaining, this space is open and inviting with functionality to spare.
The island offers plenty of storage and adds enough countertop space for multiple cooks. A walk-in pantry behind the kitchen keeps clutter at bay, leaving the main room free for cooking and socializing.
The fluid, open design allows the kitchen to stand as a centerpiece of the remodeled home, with rooms connecting and leading toward it from every direction.

Viewing the kitchen through an entry hall, we see a wide swath of dark hardwood flooring, contrasting with the white cabinetry and walls.
With a closer view of the island, we see the rich mahogany countertop over white painted body, with a trio of white upholstered bar seats on the dining side. The island sink complements a space featuring stainless steel appliances and a large white tile backsplash over the range.
Detailed look at the ceiling reveals intricate, transitional style beam work, with curved arches bridging the center, inspired by an old church photograph. Dormer windows are barely visible flanking the room.
Countertops were replaced with white marble throughout, adding an elegant touch below the large centerpiece kitchen window.
Angling slightly down, we take in the new farmhouse sink and white cabinetry with fresh hardware. The oak flooring was stained dark as per the owners’ preference.
With a view from the opposite end of the kitchen, we have a better look at the recessed lighting and dormer windows in the ceiling space. The dining area can be seen at left, with dark wood table and white chairs centered over a floral area rug.
Finally we share an image of the adjacent living room, flush with detail including a pair of lengthy white sofas and button tufted ottomans, large stone fireplace, and bookshelves wrapping around the wide entrance. The kitchen is seen through the large doorway.
