The homeowners requested a comfortable design, timeless and allowing for durable furniture, fabrics, and finishes that would accommodate a young and growing family.
Roselind Wilson Design utilized its extensive supplier connections and deep well of product knowledge to create a synthesis of thoughtful design and functional living space.
The 2970 square foot home, located in Notting Hill, London, is flush with subtle luxurious touches, set in a restrained partnership with utilitarian detail.
The open design holds quality furniture in simpler designs, sparingly placed yet intriguing details, and a unified color palette throughout.
The children’s area stands this home apart from its bespoke brethren, bursting with color and creative details in a playful arrangement. See the final segment of this gallery for a glimpse into these bright and bold spaces.

The living room holds earth toned seating and area rug over rich hardwood flooring. This club chair is flanked by an angular side table and floor lamp, with large, full height windows in background.
This unique sofa design features sky blue upholstery over a contemporary wood frame, with extra thick cushioning. A circular modern wood and metal table stands on blue and white patterned area rug before it.
A small glimpse of the kitchen reveals stark white cabinetry and a trio of chromed sphere pendant lights. Under-cupboard lighting highlights small potted plants, adding a touch of nature to the room.
The dining room is an exercise in restrained elegance, featuring a minimalist dark wood table as its centerpiece, surrounded by leather upholstered Parson chairs. The white walls and door height windows surround a natural hardwood floor, while marble fireplace stands to the right below a large mirror.
Above the table we see another unique light element, a cloud-like chandelier in white. The organic shape contrasts with the straight edges of the room.
The central hallway features a black and white checkered tile floor, adding a playful sensibility and matching with the minimalist side table and staircase seen here. Another spherical chandelier, with floral shapes, appears in this space.
The primary bedroom adds a dash of texture to the muted greys and browns of the home, with floral wallpaper and a large button tufted headboard.
Bed coverings include sky blue tones and a textured throw pillow, next to glass topped bedside table.
A unique circular, mirrored side table stands with a thick upholstered chair here, forming a small vanity in the bedroom.
The playroom is where a wild array of color sprouts within this home. Here, a pair of red acrylic seat chairs stand below a built-in desk and book shelving in white.
Colorful wall decals stand above a rainbow hued area rug and red frameless rocker chair in this area.
In more striking use of wall decals, this area of the room holds a large format rainbow paint-spilling image above a white leather reading chair and toy bucket.
This small free standing bookshelf in lime green exemplifies the bright yet restrained details throughout the playroom.
The far end of the kids’ space features a black climbing wall next to elegant, inner-lit shelving for the toy collection. Splatter paint rug unifies the look.
A pair of bright red circular wall-cutout seats appear on this side of the room, adding a flamboyant detail to the already colorful space.
