Welcome to our gallery focusing on the diverse range of exquisite kitchens designed by LWK Kitchens.
LWK Kitchens is at the forefront of contemporary kitchen design, crafting innovative, useful, and beautiful spaces that would stand out in any home. To share a portion of the breadth of the company’s work, we’ve organized this gallery around 10 specific projects, each with its own bold stylistic angle.
Many of these kitchens center on a particularly stylish island, so make sure to take note of the details inherent in the design. Keep an eye out for novel lighting solutions, cooktop surfaces, and other elements that increase the aesthetic and utilitarian value of these kitchens.
Another element of design to pay attention to is the efficient use of space in many of these rooms. When working with a smaller space, it can often be difficult to create an open, inviting, and highly useful kitchen, but LWK Kitchens pulls it off with style. The stunning variety of options on display means that every space, large or small, is fully maximized.
Without further ado, let’s begin checking out these fantastic kitchens!
1. Small kitchen design – Chelsea 01
This kitchen renovation took place within a beautiful London Chelsea apartment. The owner was an artist who was keen to inject an energizing boost of color, modernizing the space. Because of the compact size of the room, it was essential to produce a design that would maximize the available space.
A small U-shaped handleless kitchen design was designed to provide maximum working space, storage space, and room for the owner’s cat beneath the stylish real oak breakfast bar! Congruent with the beautiful color scheme, the two tone finish creates a warm ambience.
Finally, thoughtful lighting options ensure the dark grey tone doesn’t overwhelm the small space; instead it contributes to a compact yet welcoming kitchen setting.
The white U-shaped countertops in this cozy kitchen help achieve a brightness and open appearance, especially in contrast with the cabinetry and backsplash.
The lengthy, narrow space manages to fit in every modern convenience, including a small dining surface at left. The variety of textures and tones creates a wide visual palette.
Here we see the innovative use of LED lighting, illuminating the cutlery drawers from within.
2. Floating kitchen island effect- Petts Wood 01
A key component to this kitchen’s design was a stylish island for cooking that offers a garden view. The result is a spacious kitchen island with enough worktop space for preparing and cooking food. The island is within easy reach of all cupboards, oven, and fridge.
The floating effect is created through a simple strip of LED lights incorporated in front of the island’s plinth; simple yet highly effective. The client wanted a symmetrical look for the cabinetry; you can see the sink fitting at the exact mid-point of the run of sleek cupboards.
The island visually floats over the large format tile flooring, with a series of lighting strips. The dark wood grain adds contrast to a mostly white space.
The cooktop adds an element of utility to this large island, as does built-in storage.
Here we see the perfectly symmetrical countertop and cabinetry setup, with large sink at center.
3.Cashmere kitchen: Penge 01
This kitchen island was carefully designed to line up neatly with the large structural pillar, while allowing a clear walkaway at all sides. This arrangement makes effective use of the available room space while blending the pillar to make it less conspicuous within the design.
It is a sociable kitchen setting with a warm and welcoming feel. This is largely attributable to the warm and neutral color tone of the cashmere gloss cabinets, perfectly complementing the warm wood flooring which was already in place. To prevent any chill during winter months, the kitchen island units were reduced in size to allow for a central built-in radiator. This has been covered with a custom-made radiator cover in front of the bar stools.
The island abuts the large central pillar, drawing attention to its modern form. Grills on the side allow for internal heating.
Sleek hardware-less cabinetry and modern appliances contrast with rich natural hardwood flooring.
The wide open-plan expanse flows into a living room with patio access.
4. Minimalist kitchen island design – Greenwich 02
This minimalist kitchen island design boasts clean lines and symmetrical styling. Together these create a statement of purpose.
The recessed cupboards provide ample room for storage, ensuring an easy to maintain clutter-free kitchen. The cooking zone is set back from the kitchen’s main throughway, allowing for an efficient layout for preparing and cooking food, as well as clear access from kitchen into outdoor space.
This was important for the sociable homeowners who enjoy to entertaining friends and family on a regular basis. The crisp polar white tone in a contemporary matte kitchen ensures a timeless look.
The dark tile flooring in this kitchen contrasts with the pristine white island and cabinetry, helping the large centerpiece really stand out.
With retractible folding doors open, the kitchen shares space with the outdoors. We can see the cooktop and sink on the island, as well as an array of ultra-modern bar stool seating.
With the extra-large drawers opened, we see the massive and efficient storage options within the island.
5. Gloss white kitchen with peninsula – Hampstead 01
This highly efficient open-plan kitchen makes excellent use of the limited room space. The peninsula is key to this design, providing a place for storage, cooking, and dining. It also creates a physical distinction between the kitchen and living room.
Finally, the high gloss white kitchen door with its reflective surface finish creates an impressive look, while enhancing a feeling of light and space. This makes the kitchen appear larger than its actual size, as well as establishing a comfortable space for everyday use.
This white and natural wood kitchen features a peninsula with built-in modern range top.
The sleek white countertops add an interesting contrast around the flat, modern cooktop. Natural toned hardwood flooring makes the white really pop.
Unique sink design embeds the basin within the thick white countertop. Here we see the view enjoyed by this kitchen.
6. Compact L-Shaped kitchen – Bethnal green 01
This compact L-shaped kitchen design is recessed into the wall to maximize space within the small open-plan setting. The ceiling bulkhead that allows for this recessed effect is also beneficial in concealing the electrical feed necessary for the kitchen’s spotlights.
The all-white cabinetry is complemented with white accents and décor, including a stunning subway tile backsplash. This all-white theme was deliberately chosen as the client wished to create a feel of continuity between the kitchen and living area. The fresh white tone, combined with handleless cabinetry, achieves the desired bright kitchen ambience, within a beautiful and contemporary look.
Within this large kitchen, we see the expanse of varying textures of white over rich hardwood flooring.
The subway tile backsplash complements the sleek countertops and hardware-less cupboards perfectly.
A close look at the countertop reveals intricate seams and a great match for the ultra-modern appliances.
7. Small kitchen island design –Battersea 01
Proving that islands and dark colored cabinetry can work for smaller kitchen spaces, this design confidently features both. The island is integral to the design, providing a place for storage, cooking, and dining. Within a small open-plan setting it also provides an extension of the living room space for working or socializing.
The natural wood wall units bring texture to the setting, softening the otherwise masculine quality of the dark grey Anthracite doors. A contrasting copper backsplash completes the look, breaking up the continuity of color and creating a warm and autumnal kitchen feel.
This multi-textural kitchen proves that dark hued cabinetry does not make for a small visual space, with a wide open design centered on a flexible island, with built-in cooktop, dining space, and wine cooler.
The upper cabinets in natural wood tone adds a layer of traditionalism to this space, atop a copper-lined white backsplash and modern cupboard doors.
Here we see a close view of the beige tile flooring and island with built-in wine cooler.
8. Traditional painted kitchen – Oxford 02
While white and cream are still the most popular colors for painted traditional kitchens, soft blues and grey tones such as this beige grey ash lacquer are becoming increasingly popular. Adding color creates a modern twist for this more traditional kitchen style.
Within this modern country room, the warmth of the mid-grey color tone greatly contributes to a welcoming ambience. The overall feel of the setting is relaxed but chic; ideal for the whole family to enjoy.
This rich, expansive kitchen centers on the large, incredibly useful island with built-in wine rack and cooktop, next to a pristine white dining table.
Warm natural wood flooring contrasts with the sleek countertops and modern cabinetry, adding a textural richness to the kitchen.
With the large cupboard door open, we see a hint of the vast array of efficient storage built into this kitchen.
9. Spacious open plan island kitchen -Kensal Rise 01
This kitchen design was part of a large extension project for a family home, including modification of a basement room in the garden to create a bright and spacious kitchen setting. The design includes a well-planned kitchen layout with multi-purpose island. This includes storage space, as well as a seating area, fully equipped to bring the family together while meeting utilitarian needs.
As it is an open plan setting, care was taken to select quiet appliances that wouldn’t detract from the family’s enjoyment of their living space. Finally the color choice, tiled backsplash, industrial lights, and metal chairs all come together to create an elegant kitchen.
This truly expansive open-plan kitchen includes a large rustic wood dining table, surrounded by an array of vintage chairs.
The kitchen features an intricate micro-tile backsplash over sleek white countertops, plus a trio of bare glass pendant lights above the island.
The large open-plan space  sprawls toward full height glazing and direct patio access.
10.Small two-tone kitchen – Maida Vale 02
This small kitchen design incorporates a layout maximizing the room space as well as accommodating the owner’s everyday lifestyle and needs. The light grey wall units offer an excellent contrast for the dark grey kitchen units.
In addition to an impressive visual presence, the wall units break up the uniformity of a single color scheme, bringing contrast to the design. This also ensures that the dark grey color tone doesn’t overwhelm the space beneath the wall cupboards.
The high contrast between dark grey lower cabinetry and white surroundings defines this cozy kitchen. The U-shaped countertop features a small peninsula for dining or study space.
The kitchen stands as an offshoot of this larger living room space, with an expanse of rich marble flooring running beneath.
Beneath the countertops is a strip of inner-lighting, highlighting the contrast in this kitchen.
