Reggie Bush is a former American football running back who earned multiple awards and accolades throughout his career in NFL. He played for New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills.
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2006, Bush started his rookie year slowly despite putting early speculations that he would immediately overtake Deuce McAllister as starting running back for the team. In the midway point of the season, he finished 46 receptions, the most by any running back in the league while also setting up records for himself and for his team as a rookie. Bush would also help take the Saints to the team’s first NFC Championship game in 40 year’s history as a team, but lost the match to the Chicago Bears.
Bush would later on dominate the game even though injuries kept pulling him down. In 2009, he helped the Saints win their first NFC Championship leading to his first Super Bowl appearance that would turn into the team’s first Super Bowl Cup in a victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
After delivering a Super Bowl trophy to the Saints, Bush began offering his talents elsewhere. His first destination was with Miami Dolphins, where he dominated the game for two years. After his stint with the Dolphins, he signed with the Detroit Lions, however, injuries caused Bush’s production to drop, so he was released by the Lions. In 2015, The San Francisco 49ers signed Bush for a one-year contract where he slipped on the concrete surrounding the field at the Edward Jones Dome and crashed into the wall, causing him to suffer from a season-ending tear of his left meniscus. Before he fully retired from the NFL, he played for Buffalo Bills for a short period of time.
