An elevated 2-story home with underground parking in South Carolina along the marshlands.
Welcome! This gallery showcases this beautiful custom home designed by Damien Busillo at DLB Custom Home Design.
DLB Custom Home Design is a design firm based in South Carolina that specializes in coastal home design, planning, and consultation across South Carolina’s Lowcountry and Barrier Islands.
Each home they design is utterly unique and specifically designed to fulfill each client’s exacting needs, desires, and budget. The homes are contemporary beauties, but with a nod to more traditional styles.
DLB Custom Home Design’s philosophy is that there is always room for changing, tinkering, and experimenting in home design, and this is reflected in each home they create.
As seen above, this beautiful elevated home is surrounded by lush flora both inside the bounds of the yard and outside. The home is located in South Carolina, along the edges of the marshes of Beresford Creek in the Lowcountry.
The home’s elevation allows for all parking to be located beneath the building. The Marshfront home’s grand entryway consists of two staircases that merge into a larger flight to stairs up to the covered front porch.

The grand double doors with “X” details on the windows lead into the small foyer with a closet, stairs to the next floor, and easy access to the sizable kitchen. From this angle we can see the light taupe ceramic subway tiling above a small cabinet with a wine cooler and a small sink.
The open-concept kitchen has a light hardwood floor and a large kitchen island that contains the range and has room for three at the eat-in bar. Copper-finish lantern light fixtures above the kitchen island add a dimension of color and style beyond the contemporary white and stainless steel. Adjacent is the dining room, which has beautiful aged exposed wooden beams.
A spacious, elegant living room with two matching nail head trim cream sofas and two striped armchairs. The side tables and coffee tables are unmatched, each bringing a dimension of color to the room. A stone fireplace sits on the far wall of the room beneath the coffered ceilings.
Upstairs is the primary bedroom, with a distressed light wood bed frame and ornate area rugs in red. Through the wide archway is a sitting room, which has a door leading out to the balcony.
The primary bathroom has an enormous glass-enclosed shower, a soaking tub beneath the windows, and a dual vanity on either side of a towel cabinet.
The gorgeous backyard as seen from beyond the low wood and wire perimeter fence. A flagstone path runs around the edge of the yard. Stairs lead down from the first floor balcony to the trellis-covered patio and to the side of the infinity pool.
