This sleek, minimalist, and thoroughly contemporary space combines the richness of traditional materials with the evocative space of ultra-modern construction. The home is so closely integrated with its pool design that Integrated Pools helped out with the fundamental design.
As you’ll see within the gallery below, the pool design is integral to the power of the home, wrapping within and without the structure in an intricate dance.
The wide open-plan design flows effortlessly outdoors, spilling onto a wraparound hardwood deck that frames the pool and home in equal measure. Sets of retractible glass panels allow for clear and open visual lines from indoors to out and for ease of passage.
The building materials themselves offer an easy elegance and timeless appeal, with rich natural wood, stone, and marble making the biggest impressions by far. The sparse, open floor plan accentuates these materials with minimal fuss.
At the heart of the interior rests the kitchen, standing out amidst the elegant surroundings with a bold white appearance, courtesy of sleek white cabinetry and a marble wrapped, black and white island.
Another striking design feature in the home is the careful and reserved use of recessed lighting. Throughout the interior and the patio space, you’ll notice a constellation of pointillist lighting elements across the ceilings.
The pool and patio form a complex interplay, the contrast between hardwood and pristine blue highlighting the look. On the side of the home, a completely untethered stretch of patio stands wrapped entirely in water, with a pair of bridging planks allowing access to the luxurious space.
The slim yard itself is wrapped in rich, slender planks of hardwood fencing, matching the dark tone of the patio itself. Combined with the frameless glass fencing, the entire landscape forms an extension of the home design.

Glancing across the rich hardwood patio at night, we can see deep into the home thanks to both the open-plan design and expanse of retractible glass panels. The intention is to thoroughly blur the line between indoors and out.
Moving around the side of the home, we see the “floating” patio section, completely detached from the home by a slim channel of water. A set of relaxing rattan furniture makes this a prime social space.
Here we can see the exquisite interplay between the indoors and outdoor spaces, with all glass panels fully opened. The floating patio becomes an extension of both the living and dining rooms.
With wraparound glazing adorning the entire structure, the home remains bright and open throughout. Bright hardwood flooring sees its counterpoint in the darker toned wood of the patio.
The dining room features stone tile flooring and a massive stone fireplace wall, at left. The use of ancient materials helps this modern home achieve a timeless appearance.
There are several expanses of open space that cut right through the length of the home, courtesy of the modern minimalist design. Here we see a more modest fireplace, with the dining room and accompanying stone fireplace visible at right.
The kitchen stands at the center of the home, anchoring the expanse of open floor plan with a marble and black stained island. The kitchen is wrapped in sleek white cabinetry, punctuated by dark wood cupboards.
Gazing across the intricately designed pool, we see the complex interplay of light, glass, and hardwood. This mixture creates a constantly shifting palette, a feast for all senses.
The home features this massive, highly utilitarian closet, flush with natural wood and glass. The rich textures of this space showcase the exacting attention to detail paid throughout the design.
Before saying goodbye, we return to the expansive and rich wood patio. The intricate lighting within and without the home helps to highlight the entire package, landscape and all.
