Welcome to our gallery featuring a fantastic modern home design by David James Architects and constructed by HUSEN Developments.
David James Architects is a Dorset based design-led architectural firm that does business predominantly throughout southern England. Their projects tend to lean towards both contemporary and traditional styles.
The firm has a wide array of experience in private homes, refurbishments and conversions, alterations to listed buildings, large apartment complexes, and offers a full interior design service.
The spacious, open-concept home is absolutely striking, designed exclusively for the client. The home has four double bedrooms, including a guest suite. Bonus rooms include a home theater, gym, and a spacious two-stall garage.
Above, you’ll see the exterior of the home, showing off the lush landscaping and the expansive glass windows. The asymmetrical design of the home is just as much of a decoration as the brick facade.
Look for glass balustrades that physically separate the rooms from one another, but allow the layout to flow together smoothly.
Also, keep an eye out for bold accent colors that are used to inject cheer into a very contemporary, stylish, but neutral color palette.
A view of the small seating area, dining room, and kitchen from the glass-enclosed staircase. From this angle, we can also see the lushly landscaped backyard, which can be accessed from sliding glass doors near the dining room. All the glass in this home allows natural light to sweep throughout the rooms.
A view from the opposite side of the room, showing the beautiful hardwood floor and layered stone wall to the rear of the frame. The kitchen area is sleek and modern, with dark cabinetry and an eat-in island.
The more formal living room is separated from the open-concept room to the left by a small wall that contains a glass-enclosed fireplace. Sliding glass doors lead out to the backyard.
The primary bedroom is on the highest level of the home, and has sliding glass doors that lead out on to the balcony, which, keeping in common with the rest of the home, has glass balustrades.
