Many of us dream of living the magical life of the rich and famous in their exclusive $10.5M mansions in exotic places like Key Largo. Such a mansion would include in its 11,400 square feet a media room, home gym, a custom kitchen, and an elevator as well as stairs to the eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms upstairs. That’s just for starters.

Exotic places would offer its residents The Ocean Reef, a club atmosphere portion of the island complete with two eight-hole golf courses, a marina, a lagoon and pool for swimming, a fully staffed medical center, veterinarian, and a landing strip. You’d have shops, restaurants, dog parks, and a flying club with which to while away your time.
Kathie Lee Gifford is selling her Key Largo mansion. There’s no information on the size of the lot, but with a house like this one, there’s plenty of space. She and her late husband, the former football star and TV commentator Frank Gifford, bought the house for $3.9M in 1998 when their children were less than ten years old.
The house at 19 Card Sound Road includes an indoor pool covered by glass, a Jacuzzi spa alongside the outdoor pool, a game room, a five-car garage complete with paddleboards, Jet skis, bikes, and golf carts that come with the sale. So does all the furniture.
Most of the rooms have a water view including the dining areas and the fitness center. The family room has a view of the pool, but the ocean can be seen in the background.
Since the furnishings come with the house, let’s go on an adventure of discovery. One of the bedrooms has three walls of double bunk beds painted white with ladders. Another bedroom has a tray ceiling painted with palm trees and clouds as if you’re looking up at them. Other bedrooms have lovely dark wood four-poster beds with armoires, chests of drawers, blanket chests, desks, and reading nooks. There’s wood trim everywhere and lots of ceiling beams.
The kitchen is a wonder of dark wood cabinets and trim. There’s enough room in the kitchen for a whole football team to snack in. You’ll have a double oven, microwave, cooktop on the island, dishwasher, and all the storage you’ll ever need in a bright, well-lit kitchen.
The living and dining areas are spacious with multiple seating options. Plenty of natural light will be yours with literal walls of windows. Much of the furnishings are dark woods and lovely upholstered sofas and chairs.
We have to admit, though, that the outdoor living areas are our favorites. The fully equipped outdoor kitchen and seating for at least ten is covered with beautiful dark wood with a stunning ocean view. The outdoor pool and spa with fire pit is nothing to sneeze at, either. We could spend our days out there quite happily.
Kathie Lee’s mansion hasn’t sold yet. During the coronavirus lockdown, her children made her stay in the Key Largo house, because, they said, “you’re old.” However, before the lockdown, she put the house up for sale and moved to Nashville. Crippling loneliness, she stated, made her look around for people. Relinquishing her spot on the Today Show, she moved to Nashville to begin exploring the musical side of her nature.
