Architect Drew Lang latched on to the concept when he saw the trend toward natural eco-conscious, organic and fresh-air living sought by today’s families wanting a cleaner lifestyle, but with few functional choices available. Joined by his team, Lang created Hudson Woods – two hours north of New York City in the Hudson Valley at Kerhonkson.

The first 14 homes are in various stages of construction with buyers from Brooklyn and Manhattan. Currently there are eight lots left at the starting price of $765,000 for a 2,800-square-foot, three-bedroom model with a detached garage and studio. Each parcel in the development is a minimum of five acres.
