Gorgeous Heritage Home Reno by Gerety Building & Restoration

Gorgeous historic home renovation. Large home fully renovated. You should see the kitchen especially.

Here’s a renovation of a traditional home that’s done to retain the traditional style throughout. Gerety Building & Restoration undertook a massive reno job with this gorgeous home as you can see in the photo gallery below.  It’s a large older home with many rooms all brought back to life looking fabulous.

The home starts with incredible curb appeal.  I love the combination of white columns set in front of the brick facade.  What really adds a nice touch are the green shutters… altogether this home’s front entrance makes a statement.

Once in the front door, you enter long hallway/foyer with original hardwood.  The long hall provides space for shoes, coats and space to take in the home.

Off the hallway is a formal living room which is made beautiful with all the floor-to-ceiling built-ins and custom woodwork.  Flowing from the living room you enter the formal dining room before entering the renovated kitchen.

The formal dining room is fairly ornate, but it’s definitely keeping with the original interior of this home… the extensive woodwork and wallpaper.  The large round dining table provides plenty of space for a good number of people.  The table is capped with a stylish chandelier.

The kitchen is new and looks great, but it retains traditional style with open shelving, stainless kitchen island stools and a checkered floor.

One interesting thing to note is the soft gray/green color throughout the home.  It ties the entire interior design together.

The large master has a fireplace and sitting area.  Its en suite definitely retained the heritage bathroom look with clawfoot tub, fireplace and hardwood floor.

Being a large older home, there are many fun rooms throughout.  For instance, there’s a small desk area tucked under a window on the second floor hallway/landing.  A very nice use of space.

This home, a gem of an older home, now looks fabulous fully renovated without betraying its traditional style.  It’s an excellent example of renovating an older home and doing so in a way that retains the original design.
