Casa Amarilla
Casa Amarilla is 4,500 sq ft. Oliver Goldstick describes the estate as both intimate and grand. It has three stories and offers breathtaking views of the city. It’s been his home for 25 years, and provided a sanctuary for Goldstick and his family during the pandemic.
Open airy rooms are the main theme of the home. Large floor to ceiling windows are found throughout the home. It also has neutral colored walls, white trim, and rich hardwood floors.
When you step into the home, you are greeted by the foyer. One wall contains a large arched window which adds a whimsical feel.
It has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms total. The highlight of the home is the master suite. The master bedroom suite is 1,000 sq ft, and spans an entire floor. It has large white columns and a vaulted ceiling.
The room was originally a screening room, known as a rumpus room. There are three additional bedrooms on the top floor.
The bathtub in the master suite is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows, which gives a spectacular view. It also has french doors, a vanity, and a wooden sitting bench.
The kitchen has a large white island. Hardwood floors and white cabinetry provide a cozy yet classly look. The white marble countertops add the perfect touch of luxury.
Casa Amarilla Exterior and Grounds
The exterior of Casa Amarilla is misleading. Oliver Goldstick says he loves that the home is like a secret. From the exterior, you don’t realize the space and floors that the home has. When you step inside, it’s like entering a new world.
The home has a terrace and several balconies that allow you to take in the breathtaking view. On a clear day, you can see Catalina Island. The main terrace has a terra cotta tiled floor and concrete walls. A wicker sofa and wooden coffee table complete the earthy theme.
The swimming pool has a secluded look and feel thanks to the lush landscaping that surrounds it. The 40-ft pool deck is made of stone tile. Old-fashioned lanterns line the sides of the pool. Wooden lounging furniture provides comfort while beating the L.A. heat.
Among the lush landscaping is a Yurt. It is currently used as a yoga studio and gym.
