About Roca Tile
Roca Tile is a company dedicated to the design, production and commercialization of ceramic and porcelain tile for architecture, construction and interior design.
Roca’s R&D team develops the appropriate processes to obtain the best version of each collection. Roca’s technical capacity through the manufacturing process favors the development of rich chromatic finishes that are extremely complex and exclusive of the brand.
Roca Tile means tradition, passion and future for innovative floors and walls, in a new ceramic concept, with globally created collections for architecture and design professionals.
About Masquespacio
Masquespacio is a creative design firm, founded by Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse in 2010. The Spanish firm creates interior design projects through their personal view with fresh and innovative concepts that have received numerous awards, such as the prestigious Elle Decoration Awards España 2020, the The New York Times Magazine Interior Designers of The Year 2019 as well as other honors like the ‘Massimo Dutti Nuevos Valores’ by AD España, the ‘Wave of The Future’ by Hospitality Design Magazine US, Red Dot and Wallpaper Award.
Up until now, they have worked in several countries including Norway, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal and the United States. They are currently developing different projects in Spain, Colombia, Saudi Arabia and Cambodia.
The space designed for Roca is born from an evocative reading of the classic architectural order, with a strategic distribution of the different elements that will shroud you in the room completely. Spheres, cylinders, cones, cubes and prisms blend together in polychromatic columns around the central space.
The mirrors and curtains reinforce the ethereal atmosphere designed for this space, with an unreal and fantastic touch that will make anyone who enters the room forget where they are.
To Masquespacio, the ceramic material is an opportunity to create decorative elements. In the words of Ana Milena Hernández, founder and creative director of the design studio, “we often forget that ceramic is so versatile that it can go beyond its traditional use in floors and walls. The ceramic material has been used to create small sculptural and furniture pieces that are integrated in the space.”
The perspective of this project entailed a challenge both for the design studio and Roca Tile as a manufacturer, as it is far from the conventional functionality sought in this exhibition, trying to transform the booth into an artistic and aesthetic space.
