A modern home with open-concept living areas and minimalist storage cabinets in white.
We’re pleased to present a beautiful modern home designed by Basiches, a Portuguese architectural firm.
The full-service architectural firm was formed in 1997, and in the 18 years since, the firm has won countless interior design and architectural awards. The Basiches team works on both residential and commercial projects, and has designed everything from corporate office buildings to nightclubs.
The ED residence that we’re showcasing today is a sleek, modern single-family home with a contemporary flair.
Keep an eye out for bold jewel tones that contrast sharply with the home’s white floors, cabinets, and furniture. The furniture is ultra-modern, with utilitarian curves and form as beautiful as they are functional
Look for a mixture of natural and synthetic materials, like the wooden bowl accents on the sleek, plastic coffee table, or the beige stone tile against the white carpet of the living room. This blending of textures offers further interest and contrast, drawing the eye to focal points while creating an overall design scheme that is aesthetically appealing and varied.
Perhaps one of the most striking features of this home is that parts of it can be closed off to entirely remove clutter in a home that is already crisp and clean. This makes the space ideal for entertaining, and is particularly appealing to families, busy professionals, and for when unexpected company drops by.
We hope you will enjoy this awe-inspiring home!
The formal dining room has light beige tile floors and crisp white walls. The modern dark wood dining set has two chairs at the heads of the tables, and is perfectly sized for a family gathering.
A view down the length of the dining room, showing the wall-mounted mirrored bar on the right wall. A simple wire basket acts as a centerpiece.
The home’s family room is combined with the home office to create a cozy informal relaxation space. Like the rest of the home, the walls are in a crisp white with minimalist storage cabinets. The button-tufted sectional has dual ottomans.
The open, breezy hallway between the open-concept living areas and the family room has an enormous black home bar that can be neatly tucked away behind pocket doors for an almost seamless appearance.
Along the entryway is a large yellow, purple, and gray mural that provides a splash of color to the open but somewhat plain area.
The formal living room has an enormous white sectional and four shapely, curved chairs in translucent gray. Shades can be pulled over the expansive windows for privacy without sacrificing light.
