Founded by husband and wife team Graham and Jade Joyner back in 2016, this couple knows how to pair simplicity with decadence, masculine with feminine, Southern style with European flair, and sophistication with soul.
Jade, an Alabama native, spent almost 15 years in Europe working on interiors and opened her first interior design firm in Budapest before settling back down south.
Metal + Petal now has two locations- in Athens, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina, but services commercial and residential clients all across the US.
Occupying prime real estate in Athens, GA’s vibrant Five Points district is a newly-renovated cottage turned bachelor pad, designed with a sleek, masculine vibe, providing plenty of space to entertain.
With Hale Navy blue walls, green velvet curtains and a BoBo Intriguing Objects sofa, this pad is far from typical Bachelor Pad cliches. Metal + Petal leaned into a mix of metals with natural wood hues and clean lines to create an alluring space, while leathers and linens added warmth and contrast.
When designing a Bachelor Pad or more masculine space like a Man Cave, Jade advises avoiding anything gimmicky – no overdone vintage BAR signs or sports paraphernalia. “Finding a way to approach a bachelor’s pad project that also doesn’t scream ‘single’ is key.
