Disclosing the historical heritage of this dwelling was our main aim in the design of this early- 1900s house in Cantù. A historical heritage that was slowly lost after several renovations throughout the years. The peculiarity of the building is its location within the street and their relationship.
The facades and the exterior finishings were conceived with lime plaster to bring back the building’s historic significance and character, typical of the Lombardy farmhouses and historic centers. The renovation, which was mainly exterior and manual, gave value to the house in its identity-making process; it clearly demonstrates sensitive design within a historic context and improves its appearance from the streetscape.
