Set on a peninsula in a stunning lake in Ontario, the design development of this cottage revolved around the desire for a spectacular indoor/outdoor space. The design process was a function of prioritizing how the space related to sun patterns and if the client preferred the relation to morning light or evening light. Before long the obvious opportunity revealed itself in organizing the home so the screen porch sits at the front peak of the home.
In so doing, and in concert with a massive interior sliding window wall, the entire home functions as an outdoor space with full connection to outdoor living all day every day.
