The assignment concerned the change of use of a raw attic to a new apartment. The new apartment is continuous, with sheets facing the street and a larger roof area with an internal roof terrace facing the backyard. Reinforcement of existing wooden constructions in floors and roofs and new supporting constructions for terraces and roof sheets have been carried out.
With generous ceiling height and lots of light, the apartment feels large despite the small floor area. The stairs up to the roof terrace can be raised, so that it does not take up floor space when it is not in use.
The apartment was published in “Nytt Rom” March 2022. Photographer Monica Friedrich Johannessen and stylist residence v/ Marthe Bergan Osen.
