- 1 oz rye
- 1 oz cognac
- 1 white sugar cube
- ¼ oz of absinthe
- Angostura bitters
- Peychaud’s bitters
- Lemon zest
Add your absinthe to a glass that is chilling with ice and rinse the absinthe throughout
Once the glass is chilled, discard the absinthe
In a mixing glass, combine the sugar, a splash of water (¾ oz) and 2 dashes each of Angostura and Peychaud’s. Muddle together
Add the rye and cognac, ice, and stir until chilled and lightly diluted
Strain into your absinthe-rinsed glass, zest the rim and stem with lemon zest.
