While there is an array of hoses on the market and all are used for different things, one thing they have in common is that they need some type of clamp to hold them in place and to keep liquids from escaping.
Hose clamps are created and produced to secure hoses over fittings. Clamps work by clamping hoses down so it prevents the fluid inside the hoses from leaking out at the connection.

When it comes to clamps holding the liquid in, let us not forget swimming pool pump hoses. I have had my fair share of those and they certainly came in handy.
As a pool owner for nearly 20 years, the hoses that connect the pump to the pool are extremely important. It is how the water is filtered and cleaned properly to be safe for swimmers.

Categories of Hose Clamps
There are four overarching categories of hose clamps, including spring, wire, screw or band clamps, and ear clamps. Each clamp works best on its appropriate hose and the attachment at the end of it.
The Way Hose Clamps Work
The way a hose clamp works is to first attach it to the edge of a hose that is then placed around a certain object. For example, a pool pump has two places in which to hook up hoses, the input, and output.
You need to have a clamp on each hose at each of those spots along with the attachments on the inside and outside of the pool that connect it with the pump.
