Stromboli is a type of turnover that originated in southern Italy in the city of Naples. It was created by street vendors who would sell them from carts and pushcarts. Stromboli is made with pizza dough, Italian sausage, and cheese, which are all rolled up together and baked until golden brown.

If you’ve never had stromboli before, it’s basically a pizza roll. A delicious, cheesy pizza roll that can be filled with all kinds of things.

But let’s be real. The best part about this food is that you don’t have to make it from scratch. You can totally just buy the dough at the store and get started right away.

If you’re feeling adventurous though, then by all means, go ahead and make your own dough! I won’t stop you. But if you’re looking for something easier than that, then this recipe is definitely for you.

The stromboli is a delicious Italian-American hybrid of a sub sandwich and pizza. It’s a great way to use up leftover pizza ingredients, and it’s also a great way to make an awesome meal out of some random odds and ends you have lying around your kitchen.

The key to making the perfect stromboli is in the dough. You want it to be thin enough that when baked, it gets crispy on the outside, but still chewy on the inside. This can take some practice, so if your first attempt doesn’t come out right, don’t give up! Once you get this down pat, you’ll never go back to boring old sandwiches again!

The key to making great stromboli is getting the dough right — not too thin and not too thick. If it’s too thin, your filling will bulge out of the sides when you bake it; if it’s too thick, your stromboli won’t cook through properly in the center.

Here are some tips for making perfect stromboli at home:

Use fresh pizza dough from the grocery store (not frozen) or make your own using this recipe from ChefSteps. The best kind of pizza dough for stromboli is thin-crust pizza dough because it has more surface area than thicker loaves do — which means more room for filling!

Roll out your pizza dough until it’s about 1/4-inch thick, then sprinkle on your favorite toppings.

Stromboli can be made with just about any filling, but many people like it with meat and cheese. Other popular fillings include spinach and ricotta cheese or pepperoni and mozzarella cheese.

If you’re making your own stromboli, here are some tips for preparing it:

Roll out your dough until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Cut it into strips about 3 inches wide by 1 inch tall. Place one strip on top of another strip and pinch them together at the top to seal them together as shown in the picture above.

Spread your favorite filling all over your dough strips (about 2 tablespoons per strip). Roll up each strip tightly and place seam side down in a greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan or pie plate (you may need two pans depending on how many rolls you make). Put some foil over the pan so that no juices leak onto your oven while baking.

Bake at 350 degrees F until browned on top (about 20 minutes).

Making your own Stromboli is easy, and it’s a great way to use up leftovers. This Italian street food is essentially a sandwich, but instead of bread, you’re using pizza dough. The best part is that you can stuff it with just about anything.

If you’ve ever eaten at an Italian restaurant, chances are you’ve had stromboli before. It’s basically a pizza roll-up with whatever toppings you want inside. The name comes from the fact that it looks like a volcano (strombo) when it’s cooked because of all the oil coming out of it.

Stromboli is usually made with pizza dough, but if you don’t have any on hand, use pita bread instead! Just cut off the top and bottom so they’re flat on both sides, then fill them up with whatever toppings your heart desires and bake until golden brown and crispy on top.

Stromboli is one of those dishes that’s so good, you’ll need to make it again and again. While it’s traditionally made with pizza dough and topped with pepperoni, you can use any filling you like.

The key is to roll up the dough tightly around the filling so none of it leaks out during baking. The melted mozzarella cheese helps seal in the juices, too.

Stromboli is a fun, easy to make, and delicious meal that can be eaten for any meal of the day. It’s also a great way to use up leftovers. Here are some tips for making it at home:

Use whatever filling you have on hand. It can be leftover meat from last night’s dinner, leftover veggies from last week’s stir fry, or even canned tuna mixed with cream cheese and some spices.

Experiment with different cheeses. A good stromboli will always have cheese in it but which type you choose is up to you! Try mozzarella, provolone, jack or cheddar — or even Swiss if you want something really cheesy.

Add some seasoning! A little bit of oregano and basil or Italian seasoning goes a long way towards making your stromboli taste like it came from an Italian restaurant.

Make sure your dough is rolled out thin enough so that it cooks all the way through without burning in the oven!

Stromboli is served hot or cold, with various toppings such as cheeses and sauces. The ingredients are similar to those used in pizza, only they are placed on top of the dough in layers instead of being spread out over the surface.

Stromboli can be made using different types of bread dough, such as focaccia dough or pizza dough. It can also be made using puff pastry or crescent roll dough. The fillings used vary according to personal preference but typically include meatballs, sausage and pepperoni, along with cheese and vegetables such as bell peppers and mushrooms.

Stromboli is one of my favorite foods. It’s like a cheesy, meaty, gooey, delicious sandwich. But it’s not just for lunch, I like to make it for dinner too! The best part about making stromboli at home is that you can put whatever ingredients you want in it.

I start by slicing up some Italian sausage and cooking it in a skillet until it’s nice and browned. Once it’s done cooking, I set it aside while I roll out my pizza dough and prepare the filling.

I love using store-bought pizza dough, but if you have time, I recommend making your own dough from scratch (here’s my recipe). If you do go with store-bought dough though, make sure to let it rise before putting any toppings on it so that it doesn’t get too thick when cooked.

For the filling, I use mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce along with basil leaves (you can also throw some spinach or kale into this too) then add in some cooked sausage once everything is layered together as shown above (just make sure everything is warm so that when you bake your stromboli it melts all together). Then top with more mozzarella.

Here is one of my favorite recipes I would like to share with you!

Stromboli is one of those foods that has been passed down through the generations, but it’s also one of those recipes that’s changed over time as people add their own touches. The basics are simple: take some dough, roll it out, layer on some sauce and cheese, and then roll it up like a giant jelly roll.

There are many different versions of Stromboli out there and if you look at them closely, you’ll see that the main difference is what goes inside the dough — meat, vegetables or both.
