Need gift ideas for your real estate agent? Here's a collection of 21 great ideas for several price ranges. All very different, but definitely gifts your agent will appreciate.
There are 1.3 million real estate agents in the USA as of 2017* [source: Statista]. That’s one realtor for every 250 people. Granted, many work part-time or perhaps aren’t working but are in the Association, but it’s still a lot of realtors. It’s pretty much the same ratio in Canada where there are 108,706 realtors which is one for every 245 people.
While the two statistics are close between the two countries, the average salary figures are wildly different. The median real estate agent income in the USA is $44,090 USD. The average real estate agent income in Canada is $114,534 CAD ($87,178 USD).
Granted median and average are different where “averages” tend to trend a bit higher, it’s still reasonable to infer from this that real estate agents earn quite a bit more in Canada.
Why? Because Canada’s real estate in several cities never corrected in 2008. The bubble rages on, although there’s talk it’s now cooling.
While in the USA, many people became real estate agents leading up to the 2008 real estate crash and likely many stayed in the industry but end up earning less. That’s just speculation on my part, but surely not beyond the realm of possibility.
Either way, while some real estate agents do make fortunes, most don’t. They earn a living. I know several real estate agents and I know they work very hard and like all of us, like appreciation of a job well done.
If you’ve recently concluded a real estate transaction and were pleased with how your realtor performed, why not get them a gift. It need not be elaborate, but thoughtfulness goes a long way.

1. Car Organizer
Many real estate agents work out of their car. By choosing a car organizer that fits on the back of their seat, they can have access to everything they need. This includes everything from business cards to brochures. It will ensure that they stay more organized as opposed to searching all over the backseat when they get to an open house.
2. Travel Mug
Real estate agents are on the go. If you know someone who can’t live without their coffee, this stainless steel travel mug will keep their coffee hot while they’re driving around town and showing homes. It holds a full 12-ounces, too, so they can have a sufficient caffeine mix before they start to meet with clients.
3. Pop Socket
When you’re searching for gift ideas for real estate agents, a Pop Socket is a great option. This suction cup makes it easier to hold onto smartphones. This will allow a real estate agent to multitask easier when they’re showing a home or walking through the office without having to worry about dropping their phone.
4. Portable Power Boost
There’s nothing worse than losing power on your cell phone when you’re trying to get work done. A power station will keep a cell phone powered when there’s no time to stop and keep it charged at a wall outlet.
5. Personalized Business Card Holder
Real estate agents hand out a large number of business cards. It’s one of the ways that they generate leads. Let them look a bit more stylish by getting them a business card holder that you can have engraved with their monogram or even their full name. They’ll love how much more professional they look when it’s time to get out a business card.
6. Magazine Subscription
Give them a gift that keeps on giving. You can choose a magazine subscription to any home-related magazine, such as Home & Design. This way, they can stay in touch with all of the latest trends and even get some ideas when it comes to staging homes. They can look forward to getting something in the mail all year long. Depending on the subscription, they may be able to get it on their mobile device, too.

7. Personalized Planner
Every real estate agent should have a personalized planner. You can personalize the cover and ensure that there is a great design to fit their personality. This will allow the agent in your life to stay on top of important dates and make notes about what’s going on with the different clients they’re working with.
A fresh bouquet of flowers can be the perfect gift for the real estate agent in your life. If you don’t know what they have or what they would like, you can’t go wrong with flowers. They can add some color to their home or even their desk at the office. The added benefit is that it can be delivered for you.
9. Gift Cards
There’s never anything wrong with giving the gift of gift cards. You can get a Visa gift card so that they can shop anywhere or go for a specific store that you know they love. Plus, you can choose the denomination that fits your budget, whether it’s $50 or some other amount. They can get what they want without having to return what you may have picked out for them.
Sometimes, it’s nice to let someone enjoy an indulgent gift just for them. You can pick up a box of Godiva truffles that they are sure to love. You can customize the box to include all of their favorites. This may be just what they need in order to celebrate after a sale or de-stress after a long day of showings.

11. Digital Camera
Real estate agents are going to sell more homes if they can take good pictures. A smartphone is handy, but it’s not designed to take the best pictures. This Sony digital camera is even outfitted with 5x optical zoom, making it easy to take photos of all that a home has to offer. They can have the photos they need to share by email, upload to a website, and more.
There are some incredible wine gift baskets available. Real estate agents work hard every day in order to sell houses and help people buy the home of their dreams. They deserve to come home and relax with a glass of wine. A few other treats can be added to the basket (like chocolate) to make it that much more special. Plus, you can choose to get a red and a white wine to ensure that there is something in there that they will love.
13. Portable Speaker
We have this portable speaker and it’s really good for the money. It fits in coffee cup holders in the car and works flawlessly with Spotify off the phone.
Real estate agents love to set the mood in open houses. A great way to do that is with a portable speaker and a playlist from their phone. A Bluetooth connection makes it a breeze to get music playing in a matter of seconds. When there’s no open house, they can use the speaker to play music in the office or within their home.
Your favorite real estate agent spends a lot of time on their feet. You can pamper them with a new pair of slippers. You can choose a design that will fit them comfortably. Plus, they’ll love the way that they’re able to slip into them after a long day of showing houses so that they can relax to the fullest.
15. Instant Pot
A real estate agent can benefit from an Instant Pot in a number of ways. This kitchen appliance has been extremely popular with people who want to create fresh meals without spending a significant amount of time in the kitchen. The real estate agent in your life may be able to create some quick meals for the family after a long day at work. It can also be a great addition to an open house as a way to create an enticing aroma that will waft through the house.
A tablet is a great gift for a real estate agent for a number of reasons. They can use these as a way to show videos of the home during an open house. It can also help to keep small kids entertained on the way to and from different showings. Of course, with the right combination of apps, a tablet can be indispensable for business and entertainment purposes alike.
Gifts Under $200
When you’re shopping for gift ideas for real estate agents, jewelry is always a nice option. Thess smartwatches by Fossil will help to keep a real estate agent on time wherever they go. They can also stay connected so that they don’t miss meetings, texts from clients or anything else. The smartwatch is also fashionable, so they will look their very best no matter where they go or what they decide to do.
18. Driver’s Seat Cushion
It should come as no surprise that real estate agents spend a significant amount of time in their car. They go from home to home, checking on the listings that they have. It’s important that they are as comfortable as possible. A good driver’s seat cushion can offer lumbar support, heat, and even a massage element. You may find that they spend more time in their car simply because of the treatment that they get each time they’re in the driver’s seat.
19. Robotic Vacuum
No one likes to do any more housework than absolutely necessary. Real estate agents are no different. If they don’t have to push around a vacuum, they don’t want to. A robotic vacuum will allow them to focus on other things, like selling more homes. They can schedule the vacuum to take care of business within their own home or in a home that they are getting ready to show. It will simplify their life and keep the floors looking their very best.
20. Spa Basket
Choosing a spa basket will allow the real estate agent in your life to pamper themselves. This can be a great way to relax when they have been on the go all week long. A basket can include scrubs, lotions, candles, and even a robe. The best part about it is that they can enjoy it all from the comfort of their home. There’s no need to make any kind of dinner reservation.
21. Leather Case
Real estate agents need to feel confident when they meet up with clients. Whether they’re in residential or commercial real estate, they can benefit from a leather case. It’s a way for them to carry everything from real estate contracts to their computer. You can choose a color that they will like. Pockets and a shoulder strap will provide them with all of the comfort and convenience that is needed.
