Snapdragon, an old garden favorite, is the featured flower in this category.
It is so-called because the flowers are dragon-shaped and appear like they open and close. Flowers bloom in all variety of the rainbow colors even including bicolors. They are classified according to height: trailing, dwarf (4-8″ tall), short (8-12″ tall), intermediate (12-24″ tall) and tall (24-36″ tall).
The short varieties are great for beddings, border fronts, window boxes, containers and edgings. The taller ones would be ideal for borders and cutting gardens while the intermediate ones come in between as borders and mixed beddings.
