Single-story One-bedroom Craftsman Farmhouse With a Double Garage

Being a real country boy at heart, when it came time for me to purchase my first house in the suburbs, I thought it best to simply purchase myself a vacant plot of land and build me one of those farmhouse craftsman houses plans as they have on that gem of a website, Home Stratosphere. However, with over 50 farmhouse craftsman house plans to choose from, my nightmare soon became which farmhouse craftsman house plan would be best for both my plot and pocket?

Fortunately, with some advice from a realtor girlfriend of mine, I was finally able to choose from the farmhouse craftsman house plans, a real cute one- a single-story one-bedroom craftsman farmhouse with a double garage-simply perfect for when my fiancée comes for weekend sleepovers.

Woo, you should see it! Below is what the house plan looks like….

House Plan Specifications

Master Bedroom

Best suited for a two-acre plot of land like the one I have purchased, this single-story one-bedroom craftsman farmhouse with a double garage plan has a living space measuring 1,030 square feet. Since the bedroom is my best part of a house, it features a single, but spacious 12 x 13 feet Master bedroom with a high ceiling. Inside the Master, are both a linen wardrobe and a walk-in dressing-room. Tucked away in the left corner is an en suite with a shower, two washbasins, and a toilet bowl with a water closet.

Mudroom

Coming out of the Master, you land in the mudroom with a bathroom straight ahead. The main toilet with a washbasin and toilet bowl with a water closet is to your extreme left. Turning to your right, you pass the door leading to a roomy 19 x 28 feet sunken double-garage. Just past the double garage door, is a bench and lockers for extra storage. Directly opposite them is a DN.

Open Plan Living Space

Walking straight ahead, you enter into an open-plan living space with high ceilings of 10-feet. In all, this airy living space, which can also be accessed from the outside through a door leading to a covered porch next to the garage, comprises a comfortable 14 x 12 lounge area to the left, an equally sizeable 15 x 8 dining room with a convenient coffee bar area to its immediate right. Next to the coffee bar is an R.

At the end of the open-plan living space is a generous 15 x 14 kitchen with an ample, cozy island for those intimate breakfasts. Directly opposite the island is a four-plate gas stove with cupboards matching the island on either side. To the right of the island is a pantry. Next to it, just beneath the kitchen window, is a double kitchen sink with a dishwasher to the left. A door in the extreme corner of the kitchen has steps leading into the backyard.

Front -Rendering

A front-rendering of my single-story one-bedroom craftsman farmhouse, therefore, features two steps leading onto a comfortable covered porch on the left, next to a great double garage. Beautiful!
