A classic southwestern chicken wraps.

A chicken wrap is one of the easiest meals to make. It is also filling and delicious. This is the kind of dish that is perfect for a buy bachelor like me. However, there are chicken wrap recipes that can be given to guests as a main course at a dinner party. I have hosted plenty of the latter in which I served variations of the former.

Although chicken wraps tend to be viewed and classified as Mexican or Tex-Mex food, they can be prepared with different condiments. If you do not particularly like food from south of the border or you follow a vegan or vegetarian diet, you can make wraps that better suit your palate and dietary needs. Again, I have experimented with such dishes for dinner parties and received accolades from my guests.

This is a wrap with an Italian twist. So, it will naturally include red peppers, olives, and tomatoes. You should also use arugula and provolone cheese as condiments.

To make it more of a Mediterranean-style feast, you should choose extra-large tortillas for your base. You should also slice your ingredients into extra thin pieces. Italians don’t like bulky pieces of condiments. They like everything cut into small pieces. This prevents any one item from over-powering the rest.

I never serve peanut dishes at dinner parties. The last thing I want is for someone to discover that they have a peanut allergy—which can be fatal—at my party. However, I like peanut-infused foods and so I often make peanut chicken wrap for myself. The wrap is best for lunch but is good for any time of day.

The recipe shows how to make the peanut sauce. But if you are too busy or impatient to do so, there are fantastic store-bought sauces you can buy (I have done so). As for the chicken, you can make it any way you want: baked, grilled, or sauteed.

The Greeks also have a version of chicken wraps that inspire this recipe. It is not strictly speaking a Greek wrap, nor is it shawarma. Both of these traditions influence it. Anyhow, it is a light and healthy dish that you can take to your friends and family when you are invited to theirs.

You will need chicken, hummus, garlic-infused yogurt sauce (it exists), avocado, tomato, and cucumber. The meal is quite filling, but the calories are on the lower side so you don’t have to worry if you are trying to watch your weight.

I like the taste of curry. And although I am in the habit of having a curry in a restaurant or as a take-out, I have recently learned how to make my own. This dish is perfect for such experimentations in that it can be prepared with the least amount of fuss.

To make the curry itself, put Greek yogurt, tikka masala curry paste, and mango chutney in a large bowl and stir. Then add in shredded chicken. You should then lightly toast tortilla wraps in a frying pan. Let these cool before you shred the lettuce and put your curry and lettuce into them.

All you need to do is spread your shredded or chopped up chicken down the center of each tortilla. Top each of them with ranch dressing and salsa. Then sprinkle shredded cheese, dried basil, and garlic powder on each one. To get the wraps crunchy, melt butter in a skillet and place the wraps in it seam side down. Cook these wraps over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until they are light brown.

This wrap is loaded with crunchy lettuce, veggies, breaded chicken, crispy bacon, and avocado cream. The most important condiment is the avocado sauce. It is best to make it from scratch.

To do so, mash avocados in a bowl until smooth. Drizzle this with lime or lemon juice to prevent the avocados from browning. Add sour cream, parsley, salt and pepper, and garlic powder. Mix these all together and set them aside until you are ready to make the actual wrap.

I work from home. On especially long days, I like to make food that I can snack on throughout the day. This folded hot chicken wrap recipe is one that I have gone to again and again. It is best made using breast tenderloins.

The important thing to get right here is the frying of the tenders. You should coat each one thoroughly with the flour mixture described in the recipe link, then in the buttermilk mixture, and one more time in the flour mixture.

16. Another great southwest chicken wrap recipe.

This one can be made in under 30 minutes. It includes grilled chicken, fresh veggies, black beans, and southwest dressing. To keep matters simple, you should purchase frozen breaded chicken breasts that can be cooked in the oven. The meal goes well with whole wheat or Spanish tortillas.

Black beans are not for everyone. However, they are a good source of fiber and protein. It is possible to leave them out and rely on corn and tomatoes for your veggies. A few dollops of salsa will make the wrap even tastier.

17. Here is another way to make your Cajun chicken wrap.

There is more than one way to get the taste of the bayou into your chicken wrap. This is another great recipe that you should try. To make the dish even spicier, add a pinch of chili or a dash of tabasco sauce to the tomato mixture.

You will need to combine all the ingredients for the wrap in a bowl and spread them on your tortilla when ready. This dish can be enjoyed warm or cold. And you can finish the meal off with tangy satsumas or plums.

18. The Japanese way of making chicken wraps.

I lived in Japan for more than 5 years. Most of the eateries near my home served exclusively Japanese cuisine. However, I lived in a big city (Yokohama, which is a kind of suburb of Tokyo) so I had access to Western-style foods. Restaurants that served Western foods always offered a Japanese-inspired variant. Teriyaki chicken wraps were among them.

After a while, I learned how to make this dish myself. It is not that hard. The most important part of the dish is the teriyaki glaze. I had no problem finding good teriyaki glaze in Japan. Outside of the country, you must be more careful about what you pick from the shelves.

19. TikTok meets chicken wrap cuisine.

I have actually made this dish. It can be done pretty quickly. You will speed up the process by using ready-made tortilla wraps.

All you need to do is toss your chopped or shredded chicken into a bowl with the other ingredients and set the mixture aside to marinate. To make the wraps, mix together flour, herbs, and salt in a different bowl. Leave this stand for 10 minutes. You will then be ready to make the actual wraps.

20. One of the freshest and tastiest wraps you will ever have.

This is another Indian-inspired dish. Tomato salad and mint chutney form the heart of this meal. In this meal, you essentially stuff your tortillas with fiery curried chicken and spinach. You will then need to top it all with mint chutney and tomato salsa.

Before you start cooking, you should take the chicken out of the fridge, open the packet, and let it breathe for a bit. You should then cut the chicken breast portions into bite-sized pieces. Curry powder, ground turmeric, and cayenne pepper are all important ingredients.

21. Buffalo chicken never fails please.

If you are like me, and you grew up with greasy and tasty American food but have expanded and refined your taste over the years, you will still have occasional cravings for good old fashion wings. There is a way to combine your cravings with your finer palate. You can make a buffalo chicken wrap.

I make this wrap occasionally, usually for myself. You will need shredded chicken breast—bake it yourself or buy it in the store. This recipe also shows you how to make your own buffalo sauce. You will need Greek yogurt, hot sauce, and honey. The latter is especially important, as it brings the temperature of the hot sauce down a little.

22. When you want a simple and easy-to-make snack.

This is a no-fuss chicken wrap that you can make in less than ten minutes. If you have leftover chicken, but not enough to make a filling meal, turn it in to wrap. You can do so by placing the tortilla on a flat surface.

Then put the lettuce along the center of it. Top it all with cheese, tomato, avocado, chopped or shredded chicken, and sauce. The number of tortillas you are able to make depends of course on the amount of chicken you have left.

23. For those who love the taste of avocado.

Avocado has a distinct taste. It is one that some people cannot get enough of. Though I find it a bit overpowering, I have made this dish for a particular young lady I was trying to impress and who has a great love for avocado.

To get the full flavor of the condiment, then you should follow carefully the instructions on how to cut the avocado. Be sure to wash and shred the lettuce you intend to put in the wrap (this is just good food hygiene). You should also wash and de-seed the red peppers before slicing them into thin strips.

You should build layers of chopped chicken and your avocado mixture to maximize taste. Top it all with salsa to enrich the flavor even more.
